[QUOTE="slvrraven9"] when hasnt a master chief featured halo game been the biggest game of that year? Japan already got FFXIII so i doubt thats going to really sock the charts and i highly doubt GT5 is gonna shake any ground under the halo foundation. Z0MBIES
Then you're in a for an extremely shocking awakening.
Gran Turismo 5 will sell vast millions just like Halo Reach might. Its MS killer app vs Sony's biggest seller app.
With more than 50 millions GT games sold (every GT tittle has sold above 10 million, with GT3 selling 14+ million) and being 1 of the most sold out games since gaming began...Gran Turismo 5 is up for another huge round.
Everyone knows what Gran Turismo is.
I don't think GT5 will do as well as its past installments because there is actually some solid competition in the racing sim for consoles area, like it or not, Forza has probably put a big dent in the GT fan base. No doubt it will sell a ton, but I just don't see it doing as well as it did on a console that had more than twice as many sold as the PS3 does, and now with competitors, it will sell even less.
SC2 won't do as well as it should because it's being released in three installments, of course if you combine those sales it would be the biggest, which is probably why it's being done that way, but individually, it wont do as well.
The Demo...Prologue sold a vast 4 million...and that's a demo, and unfinished product, that practically sold more than all previous Forza games.
I don't call that a "big"dent if at all.
GT brand is damn strong. Anything with "Gran Turismo" on it makes it an instant buy for PS3 audience and non-PS3 audience that are waiting for this game to come out to buy a PS3.
