Because meh, Who knows how many of the reviews for any of the games are legit. I could see each game getting more troll reviews or fanboy reviews than the last.
Halo 4 is sitting at 87 on metacritic because its a massive franchise, its simply a victim of fanboys, jealousy, and trollage. A victim of its own success you could say.
From what I've played so far of Halo 4, it's as fun as 1, better than 3, and better than 2. I have not played ODST or Reach, however. Metacritic is the "Wikipedia" of game score reliability. Play the games and decide for yourself if you enjoy them.
I'll feed the troll. It's in a more saturated market. We the consumers have more options now which pull its score down I'm sure; however, it is still an amazing game and series.
lol, aggregated scores If you understood how Metacritic works, you'd know exactly why it is "declining" in score. In 2001 there were far less review outlets, and a lot less of them were trying to be "critical". But I say again... lol, aggregated scores

Quarter to Three(?!) gave it 2/10, lol. I haven't played it, but 2/10 is pretty hilariously low considering the average. Yea, seems like a desperate attempt to just get views

Every series is "declining" if you go by MC. Look at Killzone, CoD, Uncharted, Resistance, LBP, Gears, Infamous, Final Fantasy, GT, Forza, Zelda, Mario. If you only buy games based on MC average you are missing out on 95% of good games.
It has always been an overhyped but mediocre series. The only thing keeping it alive now is Doritos and Mountain Dew. It's even copying COD now.kuraimen
The sad thing is, Halo 4 added the same exact things Uncharted 3 did (Sprint button, Loadouts, Perks, Kickbacks/Ordinance). So does that mean Uncharted 3 is copying CoD? I doubt you've ever even played it. :lol:

Just because you had 3 bad years in a row gives you no right to discredit Twisted Metal, Journey ( GOTY contender) Ratchet& Clank etc..
What happened to gamespot scores being the only one that matters around here? Regardless, even if Halo is declining it's doing it awfully slowly. It took ll years to get to an 87 and thats still a great score.
