does it look like the most fun I'll have playing a video game this year? absolutely.

According to System Wars:
Halo 3 looks like Halo 2
Halo Reach looks like Halo 3
what we can deduce from these regular comments made against Halo?
1)Reach, flat-out sucks, graphically
2)The Original Xbox was a freaking beast
3)Fanboys are just plain dumb
good thread though, I see the Intel picture and I knew what the thread was about:)
i dont think anyone is that crazy to think HAlo 3 looks like halo 2 and Reach looks like Halo 3.. if so please point them out to me.According to System Wars:

Forza....I've seen your posts before...really now?8)
and they are. just pick option 3.:P
Halo has not been about the graphics even though I think they will look good. ITs been about the game play. Which is has. Just like the N64 Golden eye that its gameplay and movements are based on. FUN its what gaming is about. :)
From the technical standpoint Reach looks quite good for the console game. Textures are quite high-res and polycount is incredible. But from the artistical standpoint it looks awfully boring. Why the environment textures are so ugly, despite being high-res? Seriously, look at those gray walls:
It is something comparable to a 2003 game, but not 2010!
Yea guys didn't you know? Graphics are all in the color saturation. From the technical standpoint Reach looks quite good for the console game. Textures are quite high-res and polycount is incredible. That's why killzone 2 looks like pong :P

It's just Bungie needs some guys that have a degree in arts. And better texture artists.
For comparison, every Valve game since HL2 looks great artistically, despite Source engine being an painfully outdated piece of software.

It looks great, art is opinion and it's my opinion that it looks great.
That particular map takes place next to a decommisioned ship. Are decommisioned ships not supposed to look like a giant rig of metallic structures now?

It doesn't look like a giant rig of metallic structures. It doesn't look like metal at all.

Play the game before judging its damn visuals from some suspect BETA pics(also low quality bullshots) that don't even look like the actual finnished game. Players don't love it for nothing. And i ain't defending the game, my common sense is taking over, which is something that seems rare on these forums.
What, gamers buy games to look at them now a days? 'The hell, might as well rent a movie and watch it in HD, for a couple of days, rather then buying a game. Saves a lot a hard earned $, or just but a fantastic graphic demo. Or, even better, sell everything and go around the world. Plenty of fantastic visuals.
Even "decent" graphics are subjective, it seems, the expectations are getting bigger and bigger for each's perspective, man, nothing is good in exaggeration, and that simple factual saying applies to anything. Am i wrong? Tell me that one becoming more and more exaggerated regarding expectations is a good thing.
Can't wait to see what on Earth is going to happen to gaming in 20 years, with this type of mentality from devs and gamers alike.

I had no idea it was old i was searching the internet on halo reach found this scrolled down and saw the thing i quoted dont call me a troll considering i had no idea how old this was...Erm any game has sweet graphics when you use bullshots. Even the rather mediocre looking Halo: Reach.
For example:
that is such a blatant bullshot, good choice anyway, on topic, those screens are from the multiplayer beta and whoever said it doesn't have AA is totally wrong, Halo reach does have AA and runs in 720p "Our contention is that it is indeed 720p in that there are 720 progressive lines of resolution. However, as per our analysis of the original alpha footage posted from Bungie's first ViDoc, horizontal resolution is slightly cut down, giving native rendering at 1152x720." http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-vs-halo-reach-beta-article you have to actually play Halo reach to realise how good this game looks in motion and to experience the sheer scale of each level, it may not be graphics king material but it sure is a good looking game.Erm any game has sweet graphics when you use bullshots. hd5870corei7
Lol at the people calling it bullshots, anyone who owns the game knows it looks like that.
Sandvichman
Halo: Reach has aliasing, those screenshots don't.
Some people just can't be convinced that graphics aren't the be-all, end-all of a good game. Graphics can contribute to a good game, but they can't save a bad one.Speak for yourself. Regardless of visuals (I thought it looked fine by the way), playing through Reach on Legendary was the shooter experience of the year for me.
