Has a game ever made you cry? *will probably contain spoilers*

Well, I just finished The Walking Dead yesterday and I cried. I wasn't teary-eyed, it wasn't that a single tear rolled down my cheek, I full on cried. And it made me think. Has any other video game made me cry? I couldn't think of a single other one, I do remember getting a bit sad during DA:O and ME3, but I didn't actually cry. What about you?

Most visual novels such as ever17 make me cry. My waifu, nooooo. :cry: :P 

Don't think regular games ever made me cry though, never felt attached to any character. 

ME3 made me cry when Shepard walked onto a table and couldn't walk off again.

if a short cartoon movie or even a commercial or movie trailer can make someone cry, why can't a videogame cutscene, considering they are the same thing?

No. Machinarium made me feel weird though

I cried at Pac-Man once. The poor guy just wants to get something to eat and those damn ghosts just will not leave him alone. Seriously what bastards attacking a guy when he just wants to get something to eat even if it is just dots.

Also at Frogger. That poor green bastard just wanted to get to the other side but oh no he can't because of all the cars with road rage trying to kill a frog.I bet a few of those cars had people drinking and driving too.

Oh ya and Space invaders but what total alien invasion does not make a person shed a tear or two. I mean we watched our entire world get taken over by aliens. Sadly it was just one brave soul defending our invasion and all he had was four blocks to cover him from the onslaught.

Yeah, right now I am crying over how bad Hitman Absolution is.

After sneaking by hundreds of people - paranoid people, that is (they can make out your disguise in a split second) - when I am finally to kill the target, I find myself being jumped into a cutscene where a Mexican Gorilla beats the sh!t out of me (the rest is even worse). No, you can't kill your target in a Hitman game, "Oh no!, oh no, you can't!" says the developer.

The Walking Dead and FF7 are the only ones I can remember that I've actually cried playing.

I don't cry, but Nier did get in touch with these things of mine. What are they called... er, em-tons? em- emot ions, EMOTIONS. That's it.

I'm currently playing Ni No Kuni. It's made me tear up several times so far. Jeez..

No game has ever come close to bringing me to tears. Some movies have come closer, but none have ever brought a tear to my eye.

No.  Although, I came pretty close playing Nier more than a year ago.  I wouldn't have reacted that badly now though.

Not cried but felt very overwhelmed and emotional, probably cos of the story and music going together and down to beauty and immersion too.

Man, got a bunch of wimps frequenting this site. J/K.. I've never had a game make me cry, but I remember feeling pretty touched by the end to Prince of Persia 2008. I know a lot of people hated this ending, but I thought it was great. The guy purposely undid everything he had worked for and unleashed darkness on the world to save the life of the girl he fell in love with. Great stuff.

no. there have been games where i've thought "oh, that's sad." but i've never cried over one. if i were to, it would be for games like to the moon, mgs4, and mass effect 3.
