Has MS abandoned the Xbox 360?

Looking at both companies, it seems that MS doesnt care anymore about the 360.

Sony published God of War Ascension and The Last of US, and they are still going to publish Beyond Two Souls, Puppeteer and Gran Turismo 6 this year. (Im not counting PSN titles like Rain). We see Sony still supporting and investing in the PS3, even if most of their studios are developing for the PS4 now. Sony might even release 1 or 2 games next year for it then leave it for 3rd parties (such huge install base is always tempting for 3rd parties).

MS simply abandoned the 360, it released a Gears of War game and i can´t see any 1st/2nd party (non XBLA) game forecast for this year. All the money and attention moved to the X1 without a blink, and offering 2 VERY OLD games on XBL Gold is not nearly enough.

It doesnt seem fair because not everyone decided to jump into the nextgen train now, many want to see if the hardware holds up, some cant afford it.

I know that the reveal and PR mess made many Xbox fans move to PS4 next gen, what about the other ones? What do they feel about MS actions (or lack of them) towards the 360?

No. It abandoned gamers.

They are slapping out some remake Anniversary titles out, but due to their smaller 1st party retail output, yes, it seems they are about done with the 360. That has been evident for some time to me.

They would rather go full throttle with Xbox One, than split their meager resources between Xbox One and Xbox 360.

Well yes, Microsoft abandoned the xbox 360 at some point in 2010 and thats exactly why Im not buying an xbox one, because who guarantees me they are not pulling off the same bs at some point of the with the xbox one?

The 360 has a decent sized library of games, I'm sure there's some games, the people in this position, haven't gotten their hands on yet. 

I know if this was the other way around, and it was Sony who was ignoring the PS3, I wouldn't worry too much myself. I haven't even scratched the surface of the plethora of games on the PS3.

I've still got plenty to play. Gears just came out not long ago..around the same time as Ascension. They are still releasing new digital games, and there is plenty of 3rd party support. So no they have not abandoned the 360.

I was mentioning ONLY 1st/2nd party support. XBLA games dont count. 3rd party wont abandon it so soon, the install base is big.

I guess I missed the line where you said did MS abandon the Xbox 360, when you only look at games made by first party studios, and released on disc.

...Yea XBLA games don't count.. which is why cows wouldn't STFU about Journey. :lol::lol::lol: You don't want Live titles to count because it shoots holes in your argument. 

M$ has shrunk 360 support down to a handful of titles but they haven't "abandoned" anything..

..and that of course is excluding 3rd party titles.  Any realgamer will still get enjoyment out of their 360 seeing as I highly doubt they would've purchased All 360 titles up to this point.

Sony like clockwork always stops producing games for a system a year or so after the next system has been released.. Please do link to the plathoria of Sony 1st party games released for the ps1 a year or two after the ps2 was released, Please do link to the plathoria of ps2 games released a year or two after the ps3 was released.

This was supposed to be a curiosity thread about how xbox 360 gamers are reacting to the lack of 1st/2nd retail games for the 360.

According to E3 there are more 360 games in development now than ever. They've also just released the slim. I dont think they'll abandon the 360 at all like they had to with the Xbox. I think they've seen what an asset the PS2 has been for Sony and want to mirror that. They're actually releasing the 360 for the first time in a few countries this year. Ninja-Hippo

It doesnt, it also doesnt boost any confidence that MS is going to have MS Studios producing for the Xbox360 ever again, or pay another dev to make 360 exclusive. Its this type of support im saying MS no longer supports for the xbox 360.
