They positioned the launch of move purposely around the launch of Halo Reach... but nobody cares about move. EVERYBODY cares about Halo Reach.

Haven't you heard that Sony themselves expect a lackluster launch? They could have released it a month before but it wouldn't have made a difference. They positioned the launch of move purposely around the launch of Halo Reach... but nobody cares about move. EVERYBODY cares about Halo Reach.

I doubt most of the people buying Move care about Halo Reach. There are PS3 only owners and Sony also wants a shot at the casual market as well with it's initial line-up that much is clear. EVERYBODY does not care about Halo Reach as not even every 360 only owner will be buying it.FlamesOfGreyThe only place I have EVER seen ANY mention of PSMove is on gaming forums. Not anywhere else. Nice marketing, Sony.

Besides what are you refering to with the 2006 date? The PS3? What makes you think the PS3 has failed?

Okay? That still doesn't back up EVERYBODY cares about Halo Reach because it's 100% that EVERYBODY which is the word you used doesn't. I'm also sure Playstation will Move lulz units not millions but a couple hundred of thousands.
Also, in real life I've only seen 2 Halo Reach commercials and no gamer I know is interested in it.

I had heard MoH was a little on the crappy side so I decided to give it a miss. might check it out in lieu of Black Ops because I refuse to support Activision any further.

because SW mods let certain threads flourish, while they quickly lock the threads bacshing the console they own.
god we need better mods thento bad we dont havethe power to choose non fanboy mods
I doubt all Sony owners care about Reach. I doubt even all 360 owners do, too. Besides some PS3 owners don't have a 360, so I'm not sure how Reach would hurt Move.
If Sony's thing about the Move is how it can do hardcore games, then they should have released it in a window where there was no other Hardcore games coming out to give it the image of the most Hardcore thing out compared to the rest of the shovelware out at the time.
Releasing it alongside Reach just points out the contrast between a true hardcore game (and gamer) from Move.
And in a time where Hardcore gamers have to pick, most everyone's gonna pick Reach, thus making Move look like inconsequential shovelware itself.
I own all platforms, and I know that I will be picking up Reach and not the Move because of this.

Are you sure about purposely? They could have chosen the date because that was the earliest date that they knew they could send out all those packages.
Move's only job is to undermine the Kinect, and sony wants this thing to fail hard. Hence why we have the crappy games, and 1/2 assed support.
Why would sony want their own product to fail?
1. They can't copy Kinect since it's mostly software based.
2. If Kinect takes off that means the 360 has 2+ years lifespan. Forcing sony to either release the ps4 too early (ie dreamcast), or try to drag out the ps3 (which has been nothing but a headache for sony).
3. Move gamers away from motion gaming. Sony sucks at innovation, and motion controls are still in an early stage were innovation is key. If next gen is reliant on motion controls than Sony is going to be playing catch up.
1. Anyone could produce a time-of-flight camera and generate their own custom APIs for body tracking. Ubisoft's Your Shape and Harmonix Dance Central use their own custom solutions to interpret the point cloud data that Kinect produces.Move's only job is to undermine the Kinect, and sony wants this thing to fail hard. 2. The longer the generation goes the better it is for Sony, the hardware has finally become profitable.
3. Sony were doing motion-controlled games with the PS2.
It's ludicrous to presume Sony "wants" their product to fail.
do you and ZuneHD really have nothing better to do than bash every Sony-oriented you can?
seriously, it's getting old.

The PSP Go says "hi..." :oops:The fact that the PSPGo is a colossal failure doesn't mean that Sony wanted it to fail. Ohhhh yes, it did. Pocketstation too. Thing never came out in the States, and they pretty much cancelled it after releasing games with code to support its extended functionality - Final fantasy 8, to be specific. To date, the only way to actually legitimately play the add-in game that was previously only for running on a pocketstation was with the PC version of FF8.[QUOTE="codezer0"][QUOTE="shinrabanshou"]

Notwithstanding, that neither of those products have any bearing on Sony's intentions for Move.
Companies generally want their products to be successful to bring in this thing called money.
