Apparently you know nothing of Motion Plus am I right? Please don't get me started on waggle with reps such as Abby.

nini200

I personally hate the controller on the WIi. I have owned one and tried it and I prefer regular controllers or a mouse/keyboard combo. The Wii is not a must own for real gamers, no system is a must own. My opinion is its a console thats enjoyable if your drunk. Thats my opinion though. All of this is.

edit - and I personally have not played motion plus. I dont like motion controls for games, I wont like it on any system that puts it out there.

That's your Opinion and you're entitled to that. But seeing as how you haven't tried Motion Plus...

is it still motion control for gaming? if so I wouldent be interested. I know the kind of gaming I like and its not motion controls.

and as stated I have played the Wii when it first came out and owned one. I know your saying its different now but the thing I dident like was the fundamental motion control that drives the console. If Motion Plus is still motion control gaming it wouldent change my mind. Not trying to be close minded, just I know what I like =)

Yep but you really should try it first.Check out Red Steel 2 videos, this is using WiiMotion Plus. (Remember he isn't playing on the hardest difficulty).

In the long run I dont know anyone who has a Wii so I will just hope that the Gamecrazy near me puts it out with Motion Plus so people can try it. I am willing to give it a shot, just not to buy the console again only to be burned by something I probably wont like. As said though I would be willing to test it out. I will keep my eye out for a demo set-up.

Fair Enough. I'm pretty sure you'll like it since it's now full 1 to 1 responsiveness (Which I agree it shouldv'e been when the system came out).

Just like the other 2 consoles, the Wii isn't a must own since it doesn't have a MUST PLAY title, but I believe SMG comes very close to that.

No game system is mandatory to own.

But on a more personal note. I used to be surprised when i would go to someone's house and see a Wii sitting under the TV. Now, im surprised if their isnt one.

@ tester962

You should check out this page and other upcoming Wii Titles also.

This trailer looks good even if it is just cutscenes, it shows some great visuals even for the Wii.

@ tagyhag

These look like must haves to me:

Must Have 1- (Simply stunning looking game all around)

Must Have 2 - (If you don't own the actual cartridge like I do - yes this is on the Virtual Console)

Must Have 3 - (Side scrolling platformer with over 80 levels and Koopa Kids Returning, sounds must own to me)

Must Have 4 - (Yet another awesome sidescroller with awesome art$tyle and gameplay from the makers of Odin Sphere)

Must Have 5 - (for the JRPG-er in you)

Must Have 6 - (Solid 1 on 1 fighter with awful music)

Must Have 7 - (For the Action RPG-er in you)

Must Have 8 - (Shows Great Control, Visuals, Atmosphereand Great Lighting effects)

Must Have 9 - (Since you say SMG came really close to that)

That's just a few of them. There's many more.

The Wii is mandatory to own if you love local multiplayer games and you want to experience the greatness of Super Smash Bros Brawls. It's also mandatory if you want your chance at getting booty with a video game. Basically if you hate the wii, you hate playing games with people as the Wii has it's library AND the gamecube library (which also has great multplayer games - Melee, Super Monkey ball, Phantasy Star Online, etc)

like the title says, with its revolutionary controls, and its huge sales, has the wii become mandatory, i say, nearly.

gamedude234

Are you purposely ignoring them or do you buy your games by the shelf?

Double Facepalm. That is true but Xbox and PS fans have forgotten that graphics aren't the only thing to games as well. Is that not a correct assessment?

nini200

For some PS and Xbox fans sure but alot of us still play games for the gaming. Not the looks. If you enjoy the types of games that are available on the Wii than by all means keep on enjoying them. Not everyone enjoys motion controls or the types of games that have come out for the system.

You, I can agree with. You actually make sense. Alot of Xbox and PS fans say that the Wii sucks and have never tried the system but when their systems come out with Motion controls which will be real soon, they'll act like it is the best thing to ever happen to a console and as if it has never happened, oh and then it goes from being gimmicky to being a must for true gamers. Sounds kinda two faced to me.

You know what the difference will be? The 360 and ps3 actually have up to date tech. So even if you didn't like the new controls, you're still left with this gen games as opposed to recycled last gen games on the Wii if you didn't like it.

anyone who has not at leasttried the wii motion plus should. only then will i accept comments.

really guys, back up your comments.

not taking sides, OK?

Why should an expansion periperal be the determining factor of the system? or are you forgetting the other major points of gaming that Wii lacks in? I would take: 1) Graphics/Physics over cheap looking games, which is the majority of the Wii's library, even attempts such as the conduit are becoming failures. 2) The 3rd Party support that the PC/360/PS3 gets ... with all the heavy hitting blockbusters of the same rehashed first party with not even 1:1 motion controls. 3) Online that is actually DECENT... which is non existant on the Wii outside of Mario Kart... even that is questionable. 4) The Media functionality and Features offered by the other 3 systems. Other than a new nowhere near perfect control method... the Wii has nothing over the other systems, absolutely nothing.

all 3 of your comments=void , 1 graphics dont matter gameplay does -go play ps1 and tell me that its superier i dare you to the n64 by the way people still like ps1 and ps2 even with more powerful console such as gc /xbox so ya i like to know how is it until now that graphics is the only thing some one care about if that the case go buy a pc because pc tops all 3 options 2 really- thats only if you like 40 fpses on one console and very little anything else wii actually has more 3rd party support then ps3 360 combined-pwned 3 online is just started on wii , nintendos first home console attempt give them one more gen ps2 wasnt to great and ps3 still isnt to great an its free 4 wii has many multimedia opions- the ability to see news'weather go on the internet listen to music via sd card the only thing really missing is dvd functionality and dont tell me you dont own a dvd player in the first place - get a ps2 or a dvd player , they do the job fine wii was ment for games , , your actually lucky with as many multimedia functions wii does have also , you can watch some movies on you tube , lol

OK, great to have lots of disscussion. remember, everybody, do not tackle a console u have not tried,OK? and, just saying, seeing the sucess nintendo has had with motion controls, sony and MS r thinking of doing the same. also, graphics r probably the least important things in a game...gameplay is MUCH more important. just do not tackle a console randomly, OK?
