@93BlackHawk93: But I didn't have fun with it, beyond maybe an hour or so.

I regret buying the PS4. I wanted Uncharted in March then they delay the B*tch till end of April ( Should of known better) Nothing else is on the PS4 to play besides bad games like SF5 which is trash but i aint buying that.
Thank god i only payed $300 bucks for this thing at holiday sales & not $400. I should of got a PS3 instead again lol. Since my PS3 doesnt want to read sum Discs & have to play around with the eject button until it decides to be nice enough to play it
lol kk
I'll take it off your hands then, could use a better PC :P
No way, I'm really enjoying Betrayer at the moment.
Why is that awesome game not on consoles I wonder :/
Just took a look at that game. Looks like my kind of game. The keys are dirt cheap too, got one for under a dollar.

Everybody believes you. You're a true mastermind.
I usually don't regret buying anything. The only thing that comes close in the past years would be the 3DS XL because a few months later the New 3DS was released. I don't care too much because I hardly use it anyway. No regrets about the purchase itself.
@ConanTheStoner: No love for TW3 huh? ;P I can understand that, W1 is butt ugly, like I know it's 2007 but still. W2 was bizarre for me at the time so I didn't play past like the first few minutes (didn't personally buy it, family member did and so I tried it). Witcher 3 has actually surprised me. It's not 10/10 masterpiece of all time for me, but it is pretty great. I still don't find it's main story all too interesting, combat is still infuriating, and there's a lot of rinse and repeat stuff to do with the question marks spammed everywhere (looking at you Skellige Isles). What have you disliked about it?
Also same for Arma 3, I feel scared to really get into it. I feel like it's a simple FPS in appearance, but then it's this tactical(?) git gud type of game that is just enormous. I played a little of it when it popped up for free in my Steam library for one weekend and oh baby. I don't even know man.

I'm in a similar boat. I regret buying my PS4 so early on for Bloodborne, only to find out that the game is the weakest Souls game I've played in the entire series with more grinding than replayability, among its many other designs that did not agree with me.
I should have simply waited and waited until Persona 5 is out and reviewed, and then decide at that point if a PS4 is worth my money.
bad games like SF5 which is trash
Terrible launch in terms of standard content and features? Absolutely.
Bad game? Trash? No sir. Very few games will play as well as SFV this year, if any.
Though to your point about the PS4, I can relate. If you own a capable gaming PC, the PS4 has very little to offer.

Thank you for mentioning this game. Never heard of it until now. Checked it out, ...adding to my steam cart as we speak. ;)
I'm really happy to have inspired people to look into this game. It's a real breath of fresh air from all the FPS we see these days.
Here are some tips:
1) Turn the colors on, it's a really beautiful game with the colors turned on. You can really get lost in its world I feel.
2) Explore ! And use sound to locate enemies and hidden stuff
Enjoy !!!!
Btw, I used the color options that can be seen in this trailer:
@PikminWorld:
My main point of contention, like you said, is the infuriating combat. The combat and player movement in general is just gross. That's a no no for me, gameplay is my #1 priority. I'm willing to look at a game as the sum-of-its-parts at times, but it was just too much for me to swallow with TW3.
I know there is an enjoyable experience hidden in there for me and maybe some day I'll come to appreciate it, but meh. I just have too many other games to enjoy at the moment.
It's just more Farcry, but much more limited. Thought the animal taming would spice things up, but it doesn't. I'm 6 hours in and I already have one of the most powerful beasts. Zero effort for that. Throw bait, hold square to tame. That's it.
Not to mention it doesn't look that great. It's just so same-y. I think I'll just rush through the story missions, because those are alright. Maybe, at some point, the game will grab me, but as it stands, and looking up my crafting/upgrade menus, it doesn't look like much is gonna change.
I read a review saying the game isn't all that hard on normal.
Try turning up the difficulty. It'll give you more of a survival feel anyway.
Caveman times were hard, bro. Not a walk in the park xD

Yeah it's real annoying to actually move or get onto ladders/interact with objects. It's very sensitive. Combat feels glitchy at times, like sometimes Geralt won't even attack; forcing me to sheath my sword and take it out again which gives the enemy amble time to literally assault me. The choices aren't too enthralling either in my opinion. A lot of them don't really cause huge consequences or anything later on. You think they will, but most of the time they end then and there. Don't know how I'd rate the game, but I do like it quite a bit.
and yes the backlog keeps growing. I really need to stop buying games or something at cheap prices. or maybe games should get delayed, as bad as that sounds, I really wouldn't mind if that happened for at least some games. :P
gtx970. shit isn't powerful enough!! i need more pawaaaaaaaaaaaa for 1080p.
This is why I don't let people on the internet talk me into things like "Anything over this is overkill for 1080p" like I let them when I bought the 690. I put that rig together, started Metro 2033 and Crysis 2 and had to turn shit down right away. Overkill my ass....... That's when I learned when the internet says "Maxed out at 60fps" they mean "I turned a bunch of shit down and sometimes my frame counter says 60fps."
TW3, but I only have myself to blame for that.
"Didn't like the first two games? Hey, go buy the third one smart guy!"
Then Arma 3 I guess. Not that I think there is something wrong with the game. I haven't even played it lol. I've always been interested in these games, so I picked it up on a Steam sale. Thing is, I'm legit intimidated by them. I'll give it a try some day.
There is a campaign that is a good place to start, along with some of the basic training/scenario type. The real meat of the game is in the modding scene but its worth dipping your toes in to some of the base stuff just to get a feel for the controls. And my god the controls are pretty ridiculous, the game literally has something mapped to every key on the keyboard and then a bunch of combinations to boot. Fortunately you don't need to know most of them.
for myself I'd say The Witness.. its not a bad game by any means, its just not for me. The puzzles use the same part of my brain as my job and I just have no desire to play it after getting home from a long day of work. I'll probably end up playing it next time I have a significant chunk of time off where I'm also at home... which will likely be next December when the game is on sale for a fraction of its current price.
That Taco Bell quesolupa...they gave me a regular Chalupa supreme. I swear those employees have no clue about their new menu items....oh, oh, you meant games. So yeah I regret that quesolupa
I think a lot of ppl should post in this thread in a few days after finding out 15k ppl bought the Vive.
Dying Light The Following. Not because I didn't love Dying light but I just could not get back into the game after 10 months for whatever reason and I just immediately felt bored.
@R4gn4r0k: far cry 4 also for me. Although as a Ubisoft hater I knew what I was getting myself into.
I don't have remorse for anything, I returned the broken final fantasy type 0 game that wouldn't even play, will get type 0 again sometime soon when I have some free time for it.

The ps4 has over 20 exclusives this year.
You could trade in the PC at... oh no that's right, they don't hold value and they're not even a real platform.
Well, I'm off to play some games on my imaginary platform ;)
Those games don't count though.
Closed platforms with weak hardware, limited libraries, paid online, and overpriced games? That's where the real gaming is at.

I see the subtext in that comment of avoiding costs - something the PC community takes to the extreme, if you get my meaning.
i bought Secret World on sale a couple months back and I regret getting it. Its character creation is crap and the gameplay isn't good. I couldn't get a refund either because by the time i got around to downloading it, it was way past the refund time peroid of 14 days. My internet is very bad/slow/unrealiable... so it took me so long to download pretty much making it impossible to get before that 14 days was up.
I also regret spending money on Blade and Soul since so far i haven't got into the game at all and not sure if i will be able to. Seems like a big waste of money on my part likely.
So ya, probably out a few hundreds dollars on this and that of other games i didn't like, but it could be worse.
Those games don't count though.

Even with his clear sarcasm, Conan at least brings some arguments to the table. Something which you do not.
What's your argument exactly ? PC gaming is expensive ? So it doesn't count as a true game platform ?
I do not get your meaning.
Nothing lately. The last buyer's remorse I had was Uncharted 3 last year. Bought it for $6. That $6 could have been better spent at Panda Express at the food court.
Last buyers remorse I had was on ps2 can't remember what the game was. Since then I always buy games I am going to like or have features that pique my interest.
@R4gn4r0k:
Nope, sorry bro, his argument is rock solid. Some PC gamers pirate games. Therefore, a PC is not a real platform. It's a perfectly reasonable leap to make and I stand by him on this one.
I thought so_hai was joking at first, it's always awkward when you find they're dead serious lol.

My argument is that PC isn't a real platform in the same sense that consoles are. Conan raised the economic variable (twice) - not me. But seeing as he did mention it, I see that PC users see this as a disproportionate benefit, and it is consistent with their tendency to pirate.
Out of the last few purchases I've made the past few months
The Witness is the only one I regret buying, luckily I got a refund for it.

I'll agree that PC is a different beast from consoles. But seeing as this is system wars: they are all direct competitors of one another. Fighting for our time/money/attention.
You say "PC gamers spend more money on their systems so they pirate more". I say "PC gamers spend more money on their systems so they have more money to spend on games clearly"
With piracy numbers going down, with so many more companies taking interest in PC gaming these past years, I'd say my phrase is closer to the truth.
I regret getting black ops 3, I got it for the zombies but after a few matches it felt like the same thing all over again. Also still have PS+, in my mind it's worth it cause I own a Vita and PS4. In reality PS+ doesn't offer anything decent. Not to mention I don't really do MP anymore.
Playing The Order at the moment... I'm glad I paid only 10 euros for it, but damn. I mean I was more impressed with Beyond Two Souls remaster when it comes to the graphics and to some extent even the gameplay. I remember the threads about this game where the OP asked if this game was judged too harshly, I'd say no. I wonder if I should have nabbed Knack instead...
