No, I know what the TC means. I too consider things to be pretentious when they're flaunting chic art and implying deeper meaning and hidden messages concerning the nature of reality or society or whatever, but really it's just boring and crappy, and you want to yell at the creator that wearing a beret and turtlenecks doesn't make you a good artist, it just makes you look like a lopsided weiner.

Unless people still want to insist that this is part of the introductory tutorial, this clip has added to my belief that this game is going to be a boring interactive movie.

In addition, I no longer see the graphics as being anything special.

Anyone watch the Mall gameplay for this? I think the voice acting needed some work especially that little boy. And I think it's just me but I didn't like how the camera twitches when he was digging in his pockets, it took me out the experience for a second.

Yeah, the voice acting was pretty bad. They must have used non-union talent or something. The best VA was the clown, haha.

**** yeah it's pretentious. David Cage is trying to change the industry. I'm glad he aims high, but I'll settle for a a great adventure game.

I'm yet to see someone who hates the game and actually knows what the game is.

It's the lack of control you have over your player at any given time.Watch the gameplay from the mall and you'll see what I mean. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with it, i'm just saying that most people believe that they will find it boring.

^^ I agree. Games like Dragon Age Origins, Mass Effect 2, Alan Wake and other games are all story driven and tells the story very well plus the story changes depending on your choice too. I just don't understand why the reply to Heavy Rain having a boring gameplay is because it's a heavily story driven. And I don't think thinking Heavy Rain having a boring gameplay is hate, it's more of a criticism especially when other games are more story driven and have fun gameplay.
