B**ch I already said that :x. Stop spinning this conversation around:evil:
its barely interactive...[QUOTE="wolverine4262"]
[QUOTE="simslifer"]WOW look at that :D
those pictures are amazing
simslifer
it is interactive and I loved Indigo Prophecy
I loved that game as well, I reviewed it and gave it a 9.0. Those Heavy Rain screens look great BTW, I want that game more than any other PS3 game in 2010, even more than God of War 3 and GT5.I have been looking at some new pictures and am in awe these look like something on PC in high settings.
I think we may have found a new graphic king in the graphics console PS3

heres the first picture
simslifer
Er...this screen doesn't look that good. And what's with the tree sticking into the table? :lol:
[QUOTE="Technoweirdo"]
Really? Wow. :lol: Shows how much I know about PS3 games. Replace 'console' with 'game' and you've got the reason why MAG's devs would do it. Even if the game doesn't match the target renders, if it weren't for the target renders, the game wouldn't have had as much an impact at first and wouldn't be on the radar.
*goes off to watch MAG trailer for first time*
AnnoyedDragon
Here you go.
Anyway logging for the night.
Wow, the difference is huge!
I think there should be a rule for debut trailers. If the trailer is not for a game in a well-established franchise not in the T/FPS genre by a well-established developer e.g Blizzard, for the love of God, don't do a target render. :x
Good night to you.
[QUOTE="Pdiddy105"]
Its too bad the game is a interactive movie.
simslifer
it plays like Indigo Prophecy and if that was a movie it would not have gotten an 8.4.
geez I don't know why lemmings can't just accept defeat and stop damage control.
Im not a lemming, i just don't see what the big deal about this game is. Every single video i've seen just shows off a bunch of cutscenes and a bunch of QTEs. The Gameplay is nearly non existent.
You cant move around freely with the joystic and interact with literally everything using all the face buttons in a movie;)[QUOTE="SparkyProtocol"]How does what is essentially a movie impress you?mrarmyman48
But of course, most lemmings know good and well that it is a game with full gameplay controls just like any other game, but they believe what they WANT.
I am not a Lemming. The game is a bunch of QTEs. It is unimpressive. I never said it looked like a bad game. I'd play it for the story.from what i have heard about this game, i dont think that it is for me nor for most other gamers out there, it just strikes me as boring. The concept is interesting and some of the story ideas are new and fresh but it just seems like a movie where you walk around to the next place where you just hit the prompted button and the game does all the work for you
BlancoBX
Bingo. I want to have more control and actually enjoy playing a game instead of just torturing myself by sitting through an interactive movie with atrocious voice acting. Yes, it is looking nice visually, though. However, the game itself simply does not appeal to me at all based on what I have seen. Nor does the footage we have seen look quite as sharp as the obviously touched up screens floating around.
Graphics King? Does it even need to be said...?
No, Heavy Rain is not the "Graphics King," especially given that it's on such a small scale.

the crysis facial model looks good no doubt, but the one of Heavy Rain looks more realistic imo.
What kind of freaks do you live around? HR hardly looks realistic.Well, considering war/conflicts are often dirty, Psycho's pores are filled with dirt and grime from battle, making his features a bit more defined (detracting from the very clean look of the characters in Heavy Rain). Also, since when has "realism," an artistic merit, been categorized into "Graphics King?" Crysis is more advanced graphically. That's not subjective, especially when you consider that it is on a much larger scale.the crysis facial model looks good no doubt, but the one of Heavy Rain looks more realistic imo.
simslifer
If this keeps the gameplay of Indigo Prophecy with the gfx of the last trailer This will be my game of 2010. The gfx were downgraded without a doubt, but the player models are still VERY good especially for a console. If you believe the facial graphics then you are easily fooled or a blind fanboy. The texture resolution on those faces would make the game unplayable on the ps3 if it had that much detail on more than 2-3 characters.
BTW this could also be a hint that the game may come to the PC. Those textures would be very possible on a PC with the texture settings on max.

What kind of freaks do you live around? HR hardly looks realistic.IMO, the Heavy Rain model there looks WAY closer to photorealistic than the Crysis one. That being said, I'm aware that the Crysis shot is in-game and the Heavy Rain one is more than likely just wishful thinking. I never understand why people pick the pics they do for Crysis character models. I've seen shots people DON'T normally use that look better. Either way, I never saw character models as being a reason for Crysis' praise. I thought it was more of a textures / environments / physics kind of thing. Personally, I think if it lived up to that standard Heavy Rain would have better character models.

How does that make me a fanboy?It doesnt it actually makes him one. Its a movie 100x worse then MGSIV which i thought was impossible to achieve, and i actually enjoyed MGSIV despite the 8 1/2 hours of cinematics.

I enjoyed the game stop being delusional. I accept that MGSIV got a ten, but thats not gonna change my opinion. I actually have a PS3 so i can make opinions cause ive played the games on the system. You on the otherhand dont even have a 360, and view all of its games as trash. Defintion of a massive fanboy.

No, there are definitely more cows. Cows are also the most annoying faction, because literally every single exclusive HAS to be the best SOMETHING. Best graphics, best multiplayer, best story, best sound, best SOMETHING.cows will continue to do so, just like they crowned Uncharted 2 as the next graphics king, and KZ2 as the current king................why does system wars let them bully the system like that?? Im sure im not the only person who thinks RE5/Gears 2 looks on par with it, and i actually PLAY the game quite a bit, i actually think RE5 should be leader, although graphics are subjectivePeople should stop crowning unrealesed games as graphics king :?
ForceFreeze
though HR does look great, I still have doubts about the game itself (story/gameplay)... Same thing goes to Alan Wake...
These are 2 visually stunning titles which though interested in them, have doubts about the story & gameplay aspects which imo are far more important than visuals..
But it is true some Sony fanboys should take a break and stop crowining every single PS3 exclusive as the next 'Graphics King', that only fuels PS3 haters to hhmm well Hate even more PS3 & its exclusives..
How does what is essentially a movie impress you?SparkyProtocolOh dear. I thought this mindset would be gone by now, but then again this is System Wars :|. It's. An. Adventure. Game. It'll play more or less EXACTLY the same way Fahrenheit did.
How does what is essentially a movie impress you?SparkyProtocolHow does predicting what a game is like before release constructive in anyway! Besides, he's talking about graphics, and from those screens, the game looks very appetising.
The game sure does look the business, by the time it's released it may well be the next graphics king. I just hope it plays as well as it looks, I know the story is gonna be amazing for sure.
[QUOTE="Brainkiller05"]The fact the Crysis in-game faces look better than the heavy rain artwork says a lot. Unlucky TC, you tried your best. Ryan_Som
I honestly don't see that. Not from THAT Crysis pic, anyway.
Go back to the first or second page, someone posted a picture of Prophet which looked much better than the Heavy Rain pic. The Psycho picture though is harder to compare, since it's from Crysis Warhead which was slightly more stylised, and so harder to compare to Heavy Rain which is attempting to look realistic.Please Log In to post.
