Ok first off they claimed all of their games would be totally awsome and would cause the system to dethrone the Wii and 360 this year. Well I havn't seen any of that, even with your precious Metal Gear Solid 4! Its funny even that game couldn't push sales! And also a bazillion of your games have been delayed as well, and games you hyped to oblivion have flopped. (Haze anyone??)

Not to mention Microsoft did the best marketing attack recently. They cut the price to just 200 dollars. Thats even more expensive than the Wii! Now the Xbox is selling a lot, and of course now with Gears of War 2 its doing even better! Sure we may have seen a flop or two of games this year, but not as much as Sony guys! Sony better do something.....

You know it's funny all through 2007 Xbox fanboys said the RROD would eventually get fixed here it is Dec of 2008 and now new Dashboard increases RROD.

Ok first they claimed that HD-DVD would win the format war but funny i didn't see any HD-DVD players next to the Blu-ray players in Best Buy or any other retailer. Not to mention Xbox boys are still shelling out 50 bucks a year to play online, for the exact same thing PS3 boys get to do for free.

By the way after Mass Effect, Halo 3, Gears 2, PGR 4, What other great exclusives are you looking forward to ? PS3 exclusives, Uncharted Drakes Fortune, Ratchet & Clank T.O.D, GT-5, Socom, L.B.P, Resistance 2, MLB The Show 08, and still to come, God of War 3, Killzone 2, Uncharted 2, and many more.

Plus no matter if the games our 10 gigs or 20 gigs it'll all still be on one Blu-ray disc, while you 360 boys will be switching game disc's as things progress and games get bigger. . . So why don't you stay with your 360 because you definitely not worthy of the PS3.

Hmmm... you do realize the PS3 has outsold the 360 both years that it has been out right? As for the games, you also realize the PS3 had a higher number of high profile exclusives this year than the 360 right? And up until Microsoft's price drop, you were very much noticing the PS3's comback... as it was crushing the 360 worldwide. The only question is really whether or not Sony can afford to price their machine to be competitive with the 360 within the next few months. I'm sure the price will drop, but I can't see it going from $400 to $200... that would definitely be more desperate than Microsoft's move imo.

Either way though, the PS3 has been awesome in its first two years and looks to be even better in it's 3rd... Killzone 2, Infamous, GOWIII, Uncharted 2, & Heavy Rain make up a really killer exclusive lineup. And more questionable games like The Agency and DC Universe could turn out to be awesome as well. So far, there is a lot more to look forward to on the PS3... I'm hoping Microsoft is just keeping some huge secrets but there's really nothing exclusive to look forward to aside from Alan Wake right now.... so who knows.

I don't care what has been said in the past. See this is the kind of argument people use when they can't win. Oh hey why don't we only include non-shooters too? Then the PS3 would surely blow the 360 out of the water. The only reason why people choose to use Gamespoot is because it fits their opinions. As soon as it doesn't it's "Oh MS must have payed them off so I'm using IGN or Gamerankings" or "Well it didn't recieve an AAA game here for 2007 so all the game on said console suck"  I'd use the same argument even if I were arguing for the PS3 too. What I stated in my previous post was all the game coming out for all systems are pretty much equal in scores this year which is the truth. You can skew the results as much as you like to make your console of preference look better than anything else but in the real world both systems are pretty much equal in terms of games this year.

after an above average 2007 i think PS3 made a huge comeback cause i enjoyed many great exclusives + multiplats this year... considering also that PSN has improved and PSN store gets some interesting updates i am more than happy with how PS3 did this year... compared to 360 i found PS3 to have delivered better quality exclusives overall while 360 might have the edge when it comes to multiplats...

but probably by comeback the TC meant units sold, but unfortunately gamers dont play sales but games and PS3 did get some amazing exclusive/multiplats titles this year... (more than its console competitors)

Gentlemen, please.  Let's not attack our buddies, the sheep & the hermit.  The enemy of my enemy is my friend after all. :D The 360 owners should simply watch & enjoy the cow meltdown.  The biggest problem for cow land IS the games.  American game designers build their games on Windows which are then easily moved to the 360.  You can't do this easily with the PS3.  So the PS3 gets the port.  So even in multiplats, the PS3 is being burned. 

Sure, the PS3 might have stable electronics and superior blu-ray, but for a gamer, this means nothing if the games are hand-me down ports and sparse exclusives. The PS3 console might as well be an ornament for a coffee table: nice and shiney but never used.  American game designers back Microsoft technology & I don't see this changing unless the PS3 plans to make their next console as transparent to PC program compiling as the 360.

Lastly, even though the 360 has RROD, Mr. Softy gives you a 3 year warranty.  I've just experienced my 2nd RROD, but since Mr. Softy foots the bill, including the shipping & handling, I'm only temporarily inconvenienced for a couple of weeks.  It's not really that shocking anymore.  Now I get a refurbished unit with a new 3 year warranty.  Perhaps Mr. Softy will learn from this mistake in design, but if they're happy to keep giving me new Xboxes and extremely long warranties, I'll happily buy that one console for them to keep doing so!  It's their money, not mine, that is being spent after all.

First off a REAL gamer buys a $300-$500 video card, so what makes you think I would think or anyone else that a real gamer would buy a cheap 360 when thinking of which console to purchase. There isn't anything about the 360 that lends its self to the concept of Real gamers buying a 360 lol. A real gamer would maybe look for keyboard & mouse support, graphics, a strong processor, connectivity (streaming, WIFI, usb controller support ie: steering wheels), options (hdd upgrade with standard 2.5"sata laptop hdd) choice to install a OS, Internet browser and so on. All of these things are found on a ps3, sorry but people who buys a 360 isn't no more than Atari 2600 purchasers posing as a "Reall Gamer" to play their little games, isn't that sweet. Bet alot of yall show off to your parents that the headset connects to the controller huh lol?

Remember Real Gamers get Live for Free now, and only the posers that ooh and ahhh over playing online and connecting to friends after paying $50 still pay for it.

Well I saw 2 AAA exclusives and 1 AAAA exclusive this year. I also saw the PS3 outsell the 360 all the way up until November of this year.

When you compare that to what the PS3 had the year before thats a giant comeback in any sense of the word. I still think 360 is probably going to continue to outsell the PS3 during the holidays with the current state of the economy, but Sony hasn't dropped the ball and has another great lineup for 09 with the announcements so far.

Sony ACTUALLY delivered this year, and anyone who says otherwise is a complete fool.

Wii in 1st and has been the cheapest since launch, 360 in 2nd and has been 2nd cheapest since launch, and PS3 has always cost the most. Hmm, I wonder what's driving sales? What's swaying people to buy each system? PS3 was $600 then $500, and now $400. The 360 Was$400, then $300, and now $200. The Wii has been $200 always.

It's simple as to why, it's called every time Sony lowers the price of the PS3 MS lowers the price of the 360. Notice how the cheapest console is way in 1st place, 2nd place is the 2nd cheapest, and 3rd is the 3rd cheapest. Make all 3 the same price and lets see which one wins. 360 arcade HAS been cheaper than the Wii in europe for a while and more recently in the U.S. and it has still been dominated by the Wii...

also, the price drop for the 360 premium has it only $50 more than the Wii, yet again the Wii still dominates...

Cows are always living off past glories: The PS2 days...MGS4...the PS3 sales at the beginning of the year. Well, we don't live in the past or the future. You can wait all you want, but right here right now, in the present, the 360 is doing much better than the PS3...and the Sony console is still in a distant third place.

Now that the ps3 got a better year for games in 2008 according to GS scores the only thing i see on this board are topics like "lol at R2 sales,LBP sales,..."
