[QUOTE="BigBoss255"]The story of this game really interests me but the gameplay looks awful. It's like they've recreated COD on a new engine. I hated Dante's Inferno for doing it to GOW.BodyEliteCOD's gameplay is near perfect.. I think you mean they've tried to recreate COD's gameplay on a crappier engine
Yea that's what I meant:D
This game had the potential for a Half-Life 2 type campaign but the campaign is only 4-5 hours long. And it doesn't sound like the MP is unique enough to justify purchasing just for it. I was really hoping this game would be great. KC_HokieYea that's what I was thinking as well. Everything about this game reeks with uniqueness. But if the actual gameplay sucks then that overshadows everything. Even the boxart is extremely epic
but medal of honor and homefront are not like call of duty. if anything bad company two should be the pinnacle of military shooters. and i used to adore cod until it became so popularized. cod plays like an over the top hollywood action/movie/game hybrid. it's ridiculous. i miss the wwII cods. DUDE what the hell you talking about? both moh and homefront are cod ripoffs, well ok homefrotn mp has vehicles that are purchased like killstreaks with points. But apart from that both singleplayer and multiplayer are like cod and not like bc2. All thos games play like "over the top hollywood action/movie/game hybrid that it's ridiculous" Even bc2 in singleplayer and i doubt swearing anb lowing stuff up in the mp is not ridiculous. Cod is the pinnacle of fps nowadays wherever you like it or not, even crysis 2 mp copied many many things from it.medal of honor was NOT a cod rip off. the game didn't play like cod. just because they share similarities, such as they're both fps with a military theme, doesn't mean it ripped it off. this is so ridiculous. let's all pay homage to the great almighty cod, the greatest military shooter ever. whatever, give me a break. yes, moh needed work, but it was quite a refreshing experience compared to the same ol cod. cod is fun, i'll give u that, but when did all games become judged by it? the older cods had more soul, the new ones are created to appeal to the mass population. we know what happen when media is designed to to this. just look at music, movies, etc. anyway whatever, i'll buy homefront when it lowers in price, just as i bought cod, bad company, and moh. i'm just a lil' tired of the cod fanboys. but it's cool. enjoy.;)[QUOTE="godsendBLISS"]
[QUOTE="dakan45"]
Then why gamedevelopers rip them to death? They seem to think that cod is the pinacle of shooters since they make their games more and more like them.dakan45
And that's bad. You know your FPS is bad when CoD is better.Oh please.[QUOTE="DragonfireXZ95"][QUOTE="Lto_thaG"]
COD s**** all over this game.
Lto_thaG
Boy oh boy. You think Call of Duty scores high because of the innovative features? You think it sells well because of how good each game actually is? Each game is the same thing. You are part of the problem, congratulations.

well, i stopped playing black ops months ago. not saying it wasn't good, but i like variety in my gaming. i'm pretty tired of cod. so i'd rather give homefront and moh a try. oh, and i'll gladly welcome another bad company.[QUOTE="Ross_the_Boss6"]It's out for all platforms now...I'm getting this on OnLive, since it's a timed exclusive.
BodyElite
It was a joke anyways. I never planned on getting this.

who would pay $60 (plus tax) for a game that has a 5 hour campaign ?
rzepak
Every shooter these days has a 5 hour campaign or less.
i rarely pay 60 dollars for any game. that's why it's wise to either buy from amazon or wait a couple of weeks until the price lowers, and then buy from amazon. that's me though.8)medal of honor was NOT a cod rip off. the game didn't play like cod. just because they share similarities, such as they're both fps with a military theme, doesn't mean it ripped it off. this is so ridiculous. let's all pay homage to the great almighty cod, the greatest military shooter ever. whatever, give me a break. yes, moh needed work, but it was quite a refreshing experience compared to the same ol cod. cod is fun, i'll give u that, but when did all games become judged by it? the older cods had more soul, the new ones are created to appeal to the mass population. we know what happen when media is designed to to this. just look at music, movies, etc. anyway whatever, i'll buy homefront when it lowers in price, just as i bought cod, bad company, and moh. i'm just a lil' tired of the cod fanboys. but it's cool. enjoy.;)godsendBLISS
Are you kidding? OFCOURSE it was cod ripoff, ofcourse it played like cod. It was linear and super scripted just like cod and the multiplayer was more like cod than bc2. "share similarities" Are you serious? Its a carbon copy of cod.
"it was quite a refreshing experience compared to the same ol cod."
 WHAAAAAAT? It was an even more linear and more scripted cod with crappy non existant story and even shorter with an ancient super generic mp and hit detection issues. Sorry to break it to you, but both moh and homefront copy moh. While both devs have made diffirent games in the past such as moh airborne and frontlines, they decided to change everything and do it the same way cod does. They are CLEARLY changing it because they want it to be more like cod so they get more sales.
"the older cods had more soul, the new ones " NO, just NO. The old cods did not even have a good campaign, look at cod2, no story, no memorable scenes, you just run around and shoot the same nazis again and again and again....and dont even get me started in the deathborring super generic mp that only get a gun and shoot each other and people sit at the spawn positions and frag you.

The few million who buy cod every year?who would pay $60 (plus tax) for a game that has a 5 hour campaign ?
Zensword
good score, i will rent it, blow through the campaign, send it back and goback to playing battlefield 43 the same as i have done with every other fps for the last 2 years.
[QUOTE="Zensword"]The few million who buy cod every year? The majority of the people that buy CoD never touch the sinlge player at all. :Pwho would pay $60 (plus tax) for a game that has a 5 hour campaign ?

[QUOTE="donalbane"]Remember the "Homefront will outsell Crysis 2!" thread? Yeah... not bloody likely.GeneralShowzerMedal of Honor outsold most games last year.
wait what?

ok. i still don't agree. i would have to write an essay for u to get my point. moh did not play like cod. yes it was a modern war shooter, but u could clearly feel the difference between the two games. ea wants to COMPETE, not copy. as for soul, the older cod dutys did indeed have a story. they were based on historic war events. the new cods are as convoluted as they come, albeit fun and intense. lastly, so what if a game is linear. i've never had a problem with linear games. dude, we will agree to disagree.il get it when its in the bargain bin. no need to spend full price on a mediocre game when so many great games are coming out this year
