besides being fun to a HUGE number of individuals, what made/makes halo3 a "better shooter than the rest, only on xbox 360"
PS
twas supposed to be a poll, but nothing comes out when i press the supposed "create/edit poll"

Its good, but its no where near as good as gears 1 or 2.
Its a shooter that was pretty good but now COD4 and other games have done better imo.
i got it and sold it a month later
ididnt like it, the single player was OK, and the online was to untactical for me, Gears should have gotten a higher rating then it
I believe it's still the best competitive multiplayer experience on the 360. More than any other shooter, it's just plain fun with a good group of people.musicalmacI would agree except that I suck at it :(

Yeah, I agree. Some people say COD4 is better, but with features like Forge, and Theater I don't know how they could say that.

[QUOTE="killerfist"]Awesome is a big word, but I think it's great and I enjoy the game alot. Though I never play the game alone, only with friends in private chat...joopyme
yeah i know, but i just wonder why people STILL think it's greatest FPS this gen...
That's just opinions about the game. But imo it's the best 60euros I've spent on a shooter this gen.See this may sound strange but I enjoyed the single player but HATED the online play. I just think its really slow and hate to have to shoot people 10956237 times to kill them. I just think the online portion was so big because most people didnt play PC FPS's. People didnt know any better.GoldenElementXLIf you shoot more than 5 times with the BR or use more than a clip on any weapon downing an enemy, you need to aim more for the head.
I have to disagree. I did not enjoy Halo 2's multi. But the first time I got my hands on the Halo3 beta, I played for 7 straight hours. I forgot to eat dinner :|I'm not some Halo freak, heck I'm not really a Halo player....so my statement might sound a bit off but when I played Halo 3 for the first time it felt exactly like Halo 2.
Got a been there done that feeling.
W1NGMAN-
No, Halo jumped the shark with part 2's lackluster singleplayer campaign. I nevr thought the online was nearly as good as PC multiplayer, and part 3 was same old same old. The main thing Halo is good for is matchmaking and playing with a group of friends. Forge and making custom movies is nice too, as are the co-op options on the campaign. But for me, the Halo Killer was truly Gears of War. Now I find myself wishing every shooter a robust cover system. Here's hoping ODST's stealth elements provide an adequate series reboot for this once great franchise.
And the first Halo is still a great single player experience.

The campaign for Halo 3 was pretty boring imo. The multiplayer is fun but only when I'm playing with friends. I don't own the game, but if I did, I'd never play it online unless I had someone over to play it with me.
EDIT: In other words, I never thought the game was that awesome to begin with, probably an 8 out of 10, I'd give it.
