LOL@Horizon Zero Dawn Graphics. Taken on my PS Pro, 4K checkerboarded HDR.

We also tested the game using a 1GB Radeon HD 7770 coupled with an i5 3570K at stock speeds. The results were impressive, to say the least. Textures took a hit, as expected, but not to the point that surface detail was completely destroyed. It's only when textures are within close proximity to the camera that the loss of detail becomes painfully evident. We were able to run at 1080p with normal settings and achieve a fairly stable 30fps. Unlocking the frame-rate didn't buy back much in the way of performance, however, with an average hanging around 34fps. There are still plenty of 1GB cards out there today, so it's nice to see that the game still scales fairly well with less powerful hardware. A machine such as this should be able to deliver an experience reasonably close to Xbox One - minus some texture detail, of course.

2.the OP is using base ps4 not a pro and photomode don't add better textuers in horizon you can add filters though like Dof and bloom but no higher textuers and also don't add SS because the game is already jaggy free in ps4/pro

So his pic of Aloy is how it look on ps4/pro plus you disable Hud in photomode you can even hide Aloy herself and only show the world

I'm not impressed with DF. they have become a running joke. all they did was talk about resolution differences and after scorpio was announced they said resolution doesn't matter. they lost a lot of credibility. They also never said anything about the character models looks great. I agree the world itself does, but the character models leave a lot to be desired. I don't expect Ryse level because that isn't open world, but it's not even on TR levels.

And the funny thing is, I like this game. it's a solid 8/10 for me. I'm really enjoying it. GG did a great job, but I'm not gonna pretend it's anything more then it is over an allegiance to a piece of hardware. but you can clearly see the people that do

I JUST finished Ryse about a week and a half ago, and I am playing Horizon Zero Dawn right now. I know exactly what I am seeing. So what I don't get is what you think I am doing?

7850 and R7-265 at high details settings, runs Ryse at 1920x1080p at around 35 fps.

R9-290X (5.6 TFLOPS) runs Ryse at 4K around 32 fps and maximum graphics details.

R9-290 has 4.9 TFLOPS and any lesser GCN GPUs (e.g. RX-470D, 4.5 TFLOPS) would need something like checkerboard ..
