How can you resist Metal Gear Solid 4, when earlier alot of threads involved MGS4 going to 360?Pietrooper
That's not a good paralell. To match my statement you would have to talk about how much xbox peeps love the mgs series. Judging by the sales of mgs3 though its safe to say not many people love this series anymore. it had half the sales of 2 with a much larger install base. Thats a downward trend.
Its funny when you bring up MGS3 sales when all 3 Ninja Gaiden games COMBINED have sold less than MGS3 :lol:That's not a good paralell. Man, NG was...well, not bad, but defintely for masochists. You simply toil like hell to get better to overcome a challenge only to move onto the next part of the game and be stuck with the same situation and it all starts up again. By the time I'd finished NG and NGB (I did NGB on normal and hard, and NG on normal) I seriously didn't want anymore as I was fed up of being strung along and getting better, but never actually being allowed to enjoy the fact that I was getting better, in fact until you go back and start the game again you don't realise how much faster you've become.
Long story short. It is easier to do the things Ryu does in the game in real life than putting up with the game.

Talking about sales and Ninja Gaiden in the same paragraph. Sorry, as bender says: DOES NOT COMPUTE.
Anyway, MGS3 sold 4.6 mil in the end + subsistence, online player seemed to draw alot of people in. Thing with a game focusing on story is, people will still want to buy it to experience the story which won't be duplicated in another game, while superior gameplay experiences may come along. Like why I bought FFVII the other day to see what the fuss was about, and it was pretty darn neat. Needs voice acting though.
EDITED: Corrected the stats from 5 million to 4.6 million.

I got sigma for ps3 and beat it, and I'll also pick up NG2. Honestly though the game(s) technically 1 released 3 times, never blew me away, the story is well horrible as hell, and while the gameplay is fun as hell you can seriously get the same basic stuff from the DMC series. People also say NG is so hard but I thought it was easy, continually do the jump attack that jumps then like goes to cut of the enemies head and its almost impossible to die.
In the end the game is awesome, but I seriously thought for their time the original nes and later snes compilation release for them were much better than the new NG.
Of course it's gonna be easy if you exploit one move the whole time...
ninja gaiden sigma is sooooooooooooo boringgggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg tktosc666

A game can be hard and still be fun by counterbalancing the difficulty with a rewarding story. The problem is Ninja Gaiden began to feel like more work than play. I still played and beat it but I did it more out of stubborness. I could never find the will to seriously go back and play it, which I usually do atleast twice for a game I really enjoyed.I didn't like Sigma. Not too many people like Ninja Gaiden because it's too hard.
When a ninja gaiden game sells 1 million maybe you can say it's loved

I think there are some cows who enjoyed NG:S. But I don't think NG2 is that much of a big deal to them since there's DMC and GOW that they can play later. But some cows are very hypocritical.
Also, a little game called Metal Gear Solid 4 comes out the same month. Do you think PS3 owners will even think about NG2 (unless they are huge fans like myself :D).
Because there are so much more better games to look forward to on PS3. You can have Ninja Gaiden 2.dream431ca
when MGS tops Slinter Cell then we talk.
Hard to be excited for NG2 when all it's hype is based on how much blood it has. I bought NG for xbox then bought Sigma for PS3, so far NG2 looks like Sigma plus gore. So really not that excited about it personally.EmperorSupremehard to believe in you since most of your post if not all are about bashing Xbox 360 and other % left obviously to praise PS3.

Owned!
Sigma was fun but not that fun, I really had no incentive to go back and beat the game again. it just isnt that much fun to me personally so thats how i can resist it. plus i'm already overwhelmed with games as of right now. I have no idea how im gonna cope with GT5p and GTA4 around the corner.

Hard to believe what? The topic creator asked how cows can resist NG2. Obviously I'm mostly cow & PC this generation. I had Xbox last generation and loved Ninja Gaiden and bought it again for PS3. NG2 just doesn't appeal to me, excessive blood and gore just isn't my thing. It definetly doesn't appeal enough to me to run out and drop $349 for an x360.
everytime a cow states ng is boring they really mean they couldnt get past the second boss.
june is ng month

no real gamer can resist either
mgs is the worst series of games ever hyped. tons of cutscenes with a completly dumb story. the worst part is that its not even a good stealth game. thief and sc are superior games when it comes to stealth
