Sales wise. I'm not expecting much, honestly. It's not like the first one was a system seller, not that it needs to be. I don't think it will sell that much on the WiiU. It has moved away from the platforms it started on, both of which had a huge install base, something the WiiU doesn't have atm. What about you? Do you feel the same, or do you think WiiU owners will welcome Bayonetta among the ranks of Nintendo?
I think it will do poorly. I don't feel that many people who were fans of the first game are rushing out to buy Wii U's just to play it and the people who would normally buy a Nintendo console have not played it since the first one was not on Wii

Well, theoretically, the first game could be released on Wii U over the eShop. On the other hand, Nintendo could just market the crap out of it and have it sell regardless of the series not having shown up on Nintendo hardware before (ala Dragon Quest IX)
 i think it will do  good   ,   but the sellers will come thats certain ,    and when they do all these threads people made about wiiu is doomed  will be more laughing stock just like the ones for 3ds are lolÂ

Depends on how well Nintendo wants to market it. I hope they do, since the future of the franchise depends on them.

Sheep have bought plenty of games that aren't first party before. If this game gets the marketing it desereves, I don't see why they wouldn't buy this one.
From what I read, Bayonetta 2 can't go multiplat unless Nintendo wants it to... which... yeah, not gonna happen.

If you want Bayonetta 2 you need a Wii U, but I don't think Bayonetta 2 is a system seller, but Wii U needs every game it can get.

Platinum Games even confirmed that Bayonetta 2 going multiplat all depends on if Nintendo is tired of making money off of Bayonetta 2 and Wonderful 101.

I still think it will sell poorly. I'm a sheep and usually buy anything nintendo. I didn't play the first bayonetta not because it wan't on the wii, but because it looked like a crap game. I'm not going to buy the second one just because nintendo is pulbishing it and it's on a nintendo platform. The game is simply not for me.

It sold alright for being a new IP in a not so popular genre. I think it's the best selling Platinum game actually. (though Metal Gear Rising will surpass it cause metal gear)

Nintendo would have to sell the rights to publish it on other consoles. Not exactly nintendo's MO...
I've seen more impossible things happen in this industry. Maybe there's a time limit on the contract who knows. The only reason that Nintendo is publishing the game in the first place is that no other willing publisher could be found. I really doubt that poor sales on the Wii U are going to make other publishers start lining up to lose money on this game.
