Just to get this out of the way- 50 bucks a YEAR is practically free, and it helps keep out more 10 year olds than free online would. Wanted to get that straight.musicalmac
Nice theory, but in practice its the opposite. The xbox live community is full of 12 year old mouth offs. Xbox live should not cost anything, but MS just want to make a business model out of it. MSN offers the same services on PC for free.

I have to agree more so then ever when i was in XBL i came into contact with so many foul mouthed 9 yr olds and whiney teenagers crying all the time singing or screaming. And not to mention the racists and morons.
[QUOTE="Huff"][QUOTE="Not-A-Stalker"][QUOTE="Huff"][QUOTE="Yellow_Rose"][QUOTE="Huff"]I don't have to install demos that I download on live.
Everything downloads much faster on live.
XBOX updates don't take15 minutes of my time, they take about 10 seconds.
There are games worth playing on live. PSN- Resistance....
The playstation store interface is terrible
I could go on, but I've made my point.

Wait! You gotta "install" the PSN demo after you download them? :|
Yep you sure do. It takes a while too.10-20 seconds?
No. it takeslonger than thatDefiantly not for me. :|
45 minutes to download the GRAW demo. And about 3-4 minutesto install it. Thats too long.[QUOTE="ChinoJamesKeene"][QUOTE="musicalmac"]Just to get this out of the way- 50 bucks a YEAR is practically free, and it helps keep out more 10 year olds than free online would. Except that you can easily mute them, set them to Avoid status, send feedback or stick to your friends list.
1) There are always enough people to play with you over live. PSN is searching again and again.
Member no is 7mil vs 2mil. Huge difference.
2) Every demoouts first on Xbox Live
3) Demos are never corrupted when you complete downloading. PSN Games %90 bad download and you DL it again and again.
4) Casual Games (Arcade) list is 10x better than PSN Games.
5) Not free but not expensive: 4Usd per month (cheaper than a monthlygaming magazine)
6) Healty Invitation System
7) Every game supports in-game chatting function.
8 ) Most of multiplatform games support online play exclusively on Xbox360.Virtua Tennis 3, Virtua Fighter 5, Enchanted Arms...
[QUOTE="xV1CTORx"][QUOTE="Videodogg"][QUOTE="xV1CTORx"][QUOTE="v-vega75"]unified friend list, able to invite friends cross game, can see if your friends is online without having to walk around to find them (home), can download and play games, chat with friend even if your not in the same game. ect..

PSN can do all i highlited, and yes you can see when ur friends are online (and what their doing) without home, its all in the XMB (or what ever its called, the main menu)
Oh man, you have no clue do you? On ps3, you have to be IN the xmb to see what you freinds are doing or to send them a message...you cant do any of that from within a game. You literally have to stop what you are doing and exit the game...what a major pain and drag that is. With Live you can do all of that WITH IN THE GAME. The freedom this enables for you is fantastic. PSN will probably never be able to do this.
Really?...........i can do that in RFoM and R6V and those are the only 2 online games i own right now since i bougth my PS3 in May. I guess im the only one that can do that *sarcasm* maybe ur the one that need to get a clue?
Really now. You can invite friends to play you in Resistance when they are playing Motorstorm? You can send voice chat messages or engage in voice chat with freinds who are in another game while you play Resistance? Thats a good trick.....you must be a magic man.
I am SO glad you can't do that on PSN. I really hate it when I'm playing Gears, or Burnout etc.., and someone sends me an invite to play Halo2. Its so damn irritating. I mean, hello, you can see I'm not playing Halo. Why would I stop playing my game just to accept your invite? So dumb
