How many of you are switching nxt gen?

If the next-gen consoles can do real 1080p, I definitely will do more gaming on the console. If flight sims show up on the next-gen console, I'd switch just about totally.

I will likely stick with Microsoft as I have this gen. I don't know if I'll get Nintendo's. And I more than likely won't get Sony's, unless they really change things.bluezy

Last gen I was an Xbox fan, this gen I own a PS3... I'll see who makes the monster next gen!

It depends how the Next gen consoles turn out. And from now on, I'm gonna be a bit conservative with money, without going overzealous with impulse buys.

I would like to just stick with both MS and Sony, but there are just way too many games out there to play, it's just far too overwhelming, with such limited time.

Preferably just one console for me, next gen. As to which one? Who knows? I'll wait and see.

As for Handhelds, my eyes are already dead set on 3DS (and it's other future "Lite" iterations).

get whatever system interest me however even though i have all systems in my household(i dont own them). i always end up getting sony/nintendo brrand consoles

I know I already answered this, but everytime I see the title to this thread, I think "Yes I am changing next gen, I am changing from the PC I am on to the new one I plan to build".

im not going through the failures again with xbox nope im subtracting one consoel next gen goin with the 2 handhelds if psp2 comes of course and sony and nintendos consoles.

rare has done nothing for me to go out and buy another xbox , they already made me dissappointed in pdxbla and pd0 , ,they aleady not carin about the sequal , to pd

and banjo3 was a joke ,

didnt even like the ports of the 2nd one because its so hard , to play because of all the freezing it does , and it isnt such a good game to begin with the only banjo i ever liked was 1 2 was ok on the n64 but he port just didnt do so hot ,

I really need to know what strategy or route the companys are taking with their system, along with other factual details on prices and of course launch titles before I can make my decision.

i guess ppl always think the grass is greener on the other side. I will go with Nintendo next gen most likely and skip out the other consoles. This gen I got all the consoles EXCEPT for the Wii

Maybe i only have a few Wii and PS3 titles, and play 360 almost 90% of the time, but those games like Demon Soul, Muramasha etc are worth every bit i paid for the systems

I'll just be tweaking my computers and gaming on them. I have no interest in keeping up with the latest in consoles since any future pc I build will destroy any future console. On another note, I just purchased a PS2 because they're cheap and I like some of the games for that system that I missed on pc. Maybe in a couple of generations I'll get a PS3. :)

I'm sticking with Sony until the day I die. They have always delivered what I want most in gaming.

By the time the next gen starts I' am already going to most likely have a steady job ith a decent income so I' ll just buy a gaming PC and maybe on other console depending on what exclusives they bring...if exclusives ae even around any more.

OK...

We don't know when the consoles are coming. We don't know how much they will cost. We don't know what the consoles specifications will be. We don't know what games are coming for these "future" machines.

Yet you want us to say which one(s) we will buy?

That is like asking what you will watch on TV on March 12th 2032 at 8pm! :D

I plan to stick to pc and nintendo console (and a 3ds), but if the next wave of consoles is as powerful as the 360 was at launch compared to a pc at the time (back then you would pay double to triple for a pc that did that) I may be tempted :? I have no self control :lol:.

If you plan to switch you obviously aren't happy with your choice (I wouldn't be with any one system this gen so I feel your pain :P) why not switch now?

next gen i will just switch to 1 console (maybe 2)... this gen went all out and got all 3 consoles + 1 handheld but realised i dont have much free time to enjoy all the great games out on each system..

From what i experienced this gen,Sony. No Launch models ofc.ZippySlappy

Why no launch models? The launch PS3s were BC, thats like an auto-win button over the slim.

I entered "next gen" 3 years ago, with Crysis.

going with Pc and maby Ps4 not touching any nintendo i hate thier selection and wont touch xbox unless they make online play for free but we will have to wait and see i guess

When Wii2, xbox 720, and ps4 come out im switching to sony. i have a wii now, but it doesn't seem to have my type of games. How bout you?

Switching to Sony based on what I might ask? These consoles aren't even out yet. Making a baseless decision is very unwise.
