7 Years for me. Started in grade 6 with a Sega Dreamcast/Gameboy Colour and now I'm in first Year University.

Best Memory:

-All the days I bought my consoles, they were very fond memories. Also, playing the first game of my new consoles always were great as well because they set the new standard for that game's generation (Crazy Taxi for DC, Dark Cloud 2 for PS2, and COD:4 for PS3)

Worst Memory:

-The day my friend broke my Sega Dreamcast game. It was a mighty rare game that could not be found ANYWHERE. A couple months ago, I bought it off of Ebay (only 3 were up), for $80. Greatest game of the Dreamcast, (Power Stone 2).

I started 10 years ago, when I was 5. My worst memory was my PS2 no longer working. Broke my heart. My best memories are getting a ps2, and starting SSX. Seeing the graphics on that compared to Super Mario Bros. and realizing that I own the game, made me euphoric. Starting Kingdom Hearts was a good memory as well.

I've been gaming since probably late 1989.

My best memory was summer 1998. So much goldeneye, starcraft, 1080, and many other games. It was insane how much my friends and I gamed that summer.

My worst memory was when I got Jurrasic Park: Trespasser for my birthday in 1998. I was so excited when I got it and my spirit was nearly crushed when I started playing it and realised how bad it was.

Started gaming at 3 or 4 (I'm 22 now) on the NES... best memories are playing SNES with my sisters, opening up a PS1 and Crash Bandicoot on Christmas 1997, and cruising down the streets of GTA Vice City for the first time on it's launch day. Man I love that game.

Worst memory: The powerbrick on my 360 breaking and MS taking two months to get it all sorted out for me.

Started when I was 6 in 1987. Started with DnD games and Chuck Yaeger Flight Sim. Then these Math adventure type games which were actually pretty cool. Then Doom,Doom2, Wolfenstein, Duke Nukem and Duke Nukem 3D.

On to Quake 2 (which I credit for a massive part of my computer knowledge due to its modding/technology at the time) Then got a PS1 played GT2 and Metal Gear Solid.

Bought an NES later in Highschool. Played that all through college. Roomates got a game cube. Played SSX ticky all the time. Left College rebuilt a gaming PC bought a Gamecube, Sold it, Bought a Wii, Bought an 8800gtx, Bought a Ps3.

Geez so many gaming memories;

Best One: Learning how to Mod charecters in Quake 2 when I was like 14

Worst One: Realzing that all the games I bought for my Tandy wouldn't work.

I've been playing since the Atari days although the first console I personally owned was a NES. My best memory was probably seeing Ninja Gaiden live up to my expectations when I played the demo from OXM. Worst would probably be the 4 PS2's I lost to the dreaded DRE within 9 months.

Best memory? Hmmm i'm not sure. Maybe playing Goldeneye with my buddies all the time back in the day.
Worst memory? Probably buying my Wii.

20 years as a gamer. Yes I was playing with my brother at age 3 when he was 6 I got started off very early.

Worst memory in gaming history would probably be Roger Clemen's baseball where I could never beat my brother in. We would always play seasons and he would always kick my butt in. So we finally get to the World Series (game only had 1 game playoff format) I was the Phillies (or whatever name they had for them as they didn't have liscenes) and he was the Mariners.

I had hit a Home Run I was so happy as the ball blooped through the air, happy as hell that I finally beat him.....

And then Ken Griffey Jr jumped up and caught the ball at the wall....Which is an incredible feat to pull off in that game.

Mine it felt like someone dropped a bowling bowl right in between my legs boy did that suck.

Best memories in gaming are easy.

  • First time I played Super Mario Bros
  • Discovering Mega Man
  • Super Mario Bros 3
  • SNES launch with Super Mario World
  • First time I played Super Mario 64
  • Golden Eye
  • Perfect Dark

I mean these aren't the best parts or times I've had with gaming as I've had some better experiences on the PS1 and Genesis in some areas. But these are the best memories for me. Everything after the N64 is me being grown up. Everything kinda looks better when you look back lol.

Gaming for 16 years now. Best: It's hard for me to say which memory is the best memory, but I would say the first time I played Super Mario World. Another great moment was winning the royal rumble in WCW/NWO Revenge Worst: Again it's pretty hard, but I would say the travesty called Superman 64.

Started gaming 16 years ago when I was 2 on the NES. Best memory was when I spent the weekend playing and finally beating Gran Turismo 1 at my cousins house. Worst memory was when I lost the save data for GT2 because my mom knocked the cord when she was vacuuming while the game was saving.

I have been on and off gaming for 26 years, since I was seven years old in 1982. This was the time before the video game crash, and my first console was the Atari Video Computer System (now known as the Atari 2600).

Best: Getting excited when my father purchased for me the NES set (Zapper, R.O.B. and Dunk Hunt/Gyromite game paks) in 1986.

Worst: did not know how to insert a NES cartridge into the console to where I thought that it was defective. It was days latter when someone showed me how to insert it. Quite embarrassing how stupid I was thinking about it now.

I started about 15 years ago. Best - I use to love playing Donkey Kong Country with a friend every weekend. That game was amazing at that time. Worst - As a kid not having much money or knowledge of what games are good and buying Shaq Fu.

I started in 1980 when I was seven...yes I am 35 years old! Damn, I am such a fossil!

So that gives me 28 years of gaming experience. Back then one neighbor had an Atari 2600 and the other had an Intellivision. I think two years later I got my first system which was the Atari 5200. What a piece of crap!

Anyway, best moment had to be when my best friend and I beat Metroid; we sat back with contented smiles on our faces after playing for days on end...then Samus took off his helmet and it was a girl! We laughed super hard. Unlike today where you know everything about a game even before it comes out, you could still be surprised and amazed by things in game.

Worst moment was probably going to the computer store to get a copy of the Pool of Radiance D&D game...bringing it home and trying to run it on my Tandy Radioshack computer and finding out that you needed one of those "hard drive" things to play it...needless to say I was ticked and took the game back. I eventually played it but I am still jaded.

started when In 1991...I was four.....most memorable moment gaming was probably between playing with my friends on the Genesis (super street fighter II) or on the Snes ( Killer Instincts.) ...and yes...fighting games were the only games we enjoyed playing together...the rest weren't practical as we were normally about ten to fourteen people together...rules were "winner stays." lol. ....good times.

Just over 20 years ago on my C64.

Best memory, the first time I ever played Doom.

The early to mid 90's were awesome for gaming. Moving from 2d to 3d to texture mapping in the space of a few years.

Worst? Any one of the million hours spent getting a PC to work properly in the last 5 or so years.

First experienced games about 30 years ago, although didn't really get into it until about 82 with the C64. Many good memories of those early days, as well as the many nights lost in clouds of smoke playing SF11 on the SNES in my college days in the early 90's.

I forget exactly when I started gaming, somewhere in between late 1993 and early 1995. My first console was the NES that my grandpa gave me when he got his SNES. He was also a gamer except he never got into gaming as much as I did.

My favorite gaming memory is playing video games with my cousins when we were younger. We played Sonic the Hedgehog on the Genesis and Crash Bandicoot on the PS1 a lot. Also, Super Smash Brothers Melee was a game my best friend and I always used to play. Now it's games like NBA, MLB, Warhawk and COD4.

I don't have a worst.

Ive been gaming since atari. My best memory was the night before Hurricane Katrina and every night after that for like a month. I HAD to stay because of my job, Me and my co-workers played Madden all night (until the weather got really bad) I even brought my Madden Championship belt (That guys can win whenever we play tournies). We didnt have much to do after the storm, we would all pile up and play Madden to pass the time. Needless to say...I STILL have the Madden Championship belt in my living room. lol.

My worst memory as a gamer had to be when I broke up with a girlfriend that was soooo tight that she would buy Madden for me whenever it came out, along with a pizza or wings and she wouldnt even disturb me (for that evening of course). She would get mad when got far in God of War, or Resident Evil 4 and she was not home. She sat thru both games. She was my only gamer chick girlfriend...lol.

I've been gaming for 24 years, starting with a Colecovision when I was 6, but really getting into it once I got an NES for my 10th b-day.

My greatest memory (I'm so Canadian) was playing NHL Hockey on the Genesis for the first time. It was the first hockey game I played that had real teams and players (only the numbers, though, not the names); this was back during a time where real teams and players were a feature and not the norm.

My worst memory has been the last 3-4 years in gaming; too much status quo and nowhere near enough innovation. I'm pointing the finger directly at Microsoft, here.

My greatest gaming memory would have to be playing SSBM in a van with my friends. I don't remember what we used to for support but we played on one seat with a TV and a Cube on the other one infront of us. Infact, that reminds me of this upcoming tournament where buses are going to be used as one of the methods of transportion to get there, but they're going to be rigged to play games all the way to the tournament.

I started gaming at about 7 on the Intellivision, already an antique at the time. I got a used N64 when I was about 10, which I would consider me really becoming a gamer. My best memory would be in grade four when everyone came to me to help them get through Silph Co in Pokemon, because I knew the exact route. My worst memory would probably be playing Superman 64 for more than an hour straight. Another, more recent, good memory would be reading some of Malstrom's disruption articles, and finally understanding what Nintendo was trying to do with the Wii.

Been gaming since as long as I can remember.

Best memory.

Before the internet became popular.

Worst memory.

Once the internet became popular. To many hackers, glitchers, trash talkers, cursing, slang and the whole lot of other bad things.

Games were alot more fun back then...

Greetings,

I have been gaming for about 24 years:shock: since I was about 4 years old (Atari back in 83-84). Ahh, I remember Frogger, Pac Man, and Spider Man. Man, Spider Man was a great game on Atari, anyway I digress.

My best memory- There are so many. The day that I received my Official Nintendo Players Guide in the mail.

Ofcourse, I can never forget the first time I played Zelda on the NES. From there it would be when I brought home the SNES with Street Fighter II. Never thought I would have been able to play that master of a game in my own room. Of course N64 and Mario 64. Also, beating FF7 at 4:30AM after playing consecutively for 14 hours. Those would be my most memorable moments.

Worst Memory- Honestly, laugh if you will but it is related to that same Nintendo Players Guide. I brought it to school with me in 2nd grade and my best friend Max brought his. Well, he marked his up with red ink and then said that my guide which was pristine was actually his. His mom who was a TA took mine and gave it to him. I was pissed. Oh, that and selling my original Game Boy.

Lets just say - um - over 30 years now.... My fondest gaming memory so far, was when our arcade ( my family owned one of the first arcades in town ) received the first Space Invaders arcade cabinet, back in the late Seventies... people literally lined up around the block to get a chance to play... My worst memory so far, was the now infamous Sony sticker-shocking the entire gaming world with the launch pricing for PS3, then adding insult to injury by not being able to procure one at launch... I was furious...

Best: When i got my Wii, 360, PS2, Xbox, DS, PSP, N64. Going to the midnight release for brawl, and then coming home with friends to brawl until dawn. Getting Halo 1 for Christmas Playing Halo 2 online with all of my friends Going to gamestop whenever they had a buy 2 get 1 free sale and blind buying many PS2/gamecube games First time playing wii sports A summer with Megaman Anniversery Collection Getting Sonic Adventure 2 Battle Blind Renting N64 games from Blockbuster but overall, I think everyone can agree with me that growing up with gaming is an amazing memory. Worst: Getting the PSP, getting the PS3, buying so many games, selling so many games (especially to gamestop)

Best memory: The Christmas I got my SNES.

Worst memory: The first time I played Perfect Dark Zero.
