sounds about like fanboys. Sony listens to critics and consumers, and they still get bashed for it.
critics/consumers - "What in the hell do we need two HDMI ports for?"
Sony - "ok, we will only have one HDMI port"
fanboy - "Sony lied. There is only one HDMI port instead of two"
critics/consumers - "There is no need for 3 ethernet ports"
Sony - "ok, we will only include one"
fanboy - "Sony lied again. There is only one ethernet port."
critics/consumers - "Why do we need 6 USB ports?"
Sony - "Ok, we will give you 4 USB ports."
fanboy - "Sony is a bunch of liars again."
Did people really say we don't need 6 USB ports? I can see that being handly especially since you need it to charge your controller and it doens't have a replaceable battery back like the 360.
Also what about 1080P 60fps on both HDMI ports? Sure the got rid of one needless HDMI port, but why did the 1080p 60fps go away with it? If anything it should hve allowed them to do 120fps (which I think they said it could do at one point as well).
Ah! So because developers haven't done it yet, that MUST mean it is impossible to do and therefore SOny lied.
Just forget all the developers who have said the PS3 hardware is difficult to learn and extremely expensive to max out and therefore they aren't going to bother trying for a while. Just ignore FACTS because fanboy cherry picking is so much more convenient.
Ok so there you have it. Because Devs can't tap it doens't mean it can't be done. I'm sure some dev could right pong at 1080p 120fps, but that's not what was implied when talking about dual output 1080p 120fps. And then showing games like KZ2 and saying it was gameplay footage when it was CGI at 5fps and then sped up to look smooth.
Combine both of those scenarios and everyone was thinking PS3 would blow away everything, but yet it can barely hang with the 360 which was released 1 year prior to the PS3. And now the reason is because of crappy devs. Last I checked Sony has 1st party games and they help devs to create games, so I guess sony devs suck at their own hardware as well.
No I think I'll take occam's razor on this one. Most likely it's because the PS3 isn't has powerfu as sony first promised it to be.
