It's turning out like the gamecube all over again. The lack of AAA third party titles really hurts the system.zaku101
it really amazes me the thing has a huge user base and still it gets mostly Crap, Look at the Ps3 or 360 Hit after hit after hit whereas the Wii gets bad ports, shovelware, casual centered stuff etc etc
I didnt bough one for obvious reasons im not rich and 250$ plues taxes for 3 or 4 good games is a ripoff

It's a userbase made up of mostly non gamers is part of the reason. Third parties have not found much success with the Wii as of yet. I say put yourself in their shoes and ask yourself would it be worth the loss? The company that Mario built seems to have kind of lost its way.
I wouldn't know. Six months after buying the Wii at launch, I bought a 360 to satisfy my cravings for new games.
Not sad at all. First, I wouldn't get sad over video games in general. Secondly I have far more games to play than I do time for anyhow.
Rule number 1: Nintendo fans never admit their system sucks, even if it does. My friend still thinks the GC was better than the Ps2. This is mainly due to them never owning either of the two other consoles.

well the wii doesn't suck completely
it's just that it can't compete quality wise with the other systems

I own a 360 and Ps3 and I can easily say the PS3 sucks, due to it's lack of games. I also use to be a Ps2 only gamer and I can easily admit the Ps3 sucks when compared to the 360. Heck the N64 puts the GC and Wii to shame if you ask me.

I completely agree with this point! The wii had the potential to be the most unique system of this generation: a revolution in gaming if you will. However, time and time again all i see is the same carnival/minigame collection being spewed out by nintendo.
YES, we get it, the wii can mimic throwing balls and swinging bats! But does it even do THAT well? NO!
Frankly the term "gesture mashing' comes to mind.
Its like nintendo keeps trying to find ways to show off how well their system COULD work, but i mean after a year out its time to show what the system CAN do!
Come on nintendo, graphics isnt everything, but having unique controls for a game doesnt equate to good gameplay mechanics.[QUOTE="FunkyOrange"][QUOTE="zaku101"]Rule number 1: Nintendo fans never admit their system sucks, even if it does. My friend still thinks the GC was better than the Ps2.

Or maybe some people want a different experience. Wii is my first Nintendo console since NES.

casual gamers dont hang out on game sites

I think you should have got a N64 then, or a SNES if your looking for good games.

Theres more games coming out for the Wii but in terms of quality more come out for PS3 and 360. In the end the best games are going to be made for reasons because they are interested in a goal beyond money. Developing on a PS3 or 360 is the best way for most developers to achieve their vision.[QUOTE="MikeE21286"]:(

Nintendo was not marketing N64 in Russia. So I got PS1. But thats not the point. If you like 360 or PS3 or PC, its your personal coice. I like the Wii so far.
Never got a Wii and I'm glad I didn't.
Not even an announced new LoZ, if there was one, with motion wiggle waggle controls can convince me to buy a Wii. And I love the LoZ franchise.

It was cheaper for a long time -- so it was very worth it.
Seriously, how many threads are there going to be on this topic? Yeah, there aren't any AAA wii titles out for the holidays. But there are still really good titles out there for Wii-only owners. World of Goo, Tetris Party, De Blob, Guitar Hero World Tour, Brawl, and Okami are just some of the games available. And there is still no review for the new Animal Crossing and the Wii speak peripheral yet, it might do well. Otherwise, there are some good things coming next year anyway with the potential of Wii motion plus. Nintendo takes their time coming out with good titles, but they are usually worth the wait.
