How silly is Wiiu gonna look next to PS4 and 720?

For $350 someone can have a underpowered console with a gimmick controller no 3rd party support and Nintendos same old tired rehashes or for $400 (likely price of the other systems) they can have a real next gen console with power that rivals high end PCs, full 3rd party support and all sorts of entertainment options.

Its not even a good system compared to current gen PS3 and 360. Atleast the Wii was something completely different which was a motion control gimmick for parties. Nintendo actually believed Wiiu could win over core gamers and 3rd party developers. What the hell were they thinking?

At first it may look foolish... however, after price drops and some blockbuster titles? 3 years from the launch of the PS4 and 720 and you will probably have an entirely different answer.

According to Steam it easily surpasses the average PC used for gaming. Doesn't change the fact that Wii U is trash regardless.

Oh you mean a high end rig? Those cost 3-4 times what PS4 probably will so it should be better. Wii U will be in the same price range as the PS4 and markedly inferior.

Nope PS4 will some great looking games...and there will be games running at 1080p 60fps(Call Of Duty), but it is the developers choice.

Wii U has nothing going for it but the same rehashes.

you dont know the price of the ps4..it could cost 499 for all you know... for 499 could get you a GPU that outperforms the ps4...i mean every pc already has at least  ani5cpu and 8GB or RAm.

Naughty Dog will surely be working on a new IP for PS4 even if more Uncharted games are made. Santa Monica has already said they working on new IP.  Guerilla Games is working on new IP in addition to Killzone. Only Nintendo completely relies on the same franchises.

new ips? every console gen has new game experiences....whether the character has a new name or costume doesnt matter imo..

a fresh experience is a fresh experience even if pacman is the main character.

it has more objects draw distance and scale....thats great but wont eclipse any experience the wiU will deliver.

Wii U games may look better than some indie games on PS4, but they won't come close to even average budget PS4 games. 

Who knows? a WiiU gamer would never buy a pizzabox for $400(?)

I'm pretty sure the Sony's first party studios squeezed everything they could out of the PS3. Unless this upcoming generation is much shorter this time(I hope it is only 5 years) I expect them to do the same with the PS4.

I was talking about diminishing returns and dev costs.It is going to get harder to see the difference in graphics for most games unless you are an expert in graphics technology.Also depending on how high the dev costs are for the PS4 it qill be harder ot use some of the power in the console.

I wish Nintnedo would start caring about graphics and core gamers again. Instead of staying with the under powered consoles with gimmick controllers geared towards causals for two console generations in a row. :(

Can't remember the last time a system's power had any baring on how much fun I had playing the games...

The Wii-U isn't going to look silly just like the Gameboy didn't look silly compared to the Game Gear, the 3DS to the Vita, the PS2 to the Xbox, and so on.

Im playing MH3U, a two or three year old game, and having such a great time, gameplay is what matters, not graphics. I have a pc that plays every game on very high but have been playing my wiiU with MH pretty much soley for a month now.

WiiU graphics will be good enough, and the gameplay of lots of games will be great.

If by "silly" you mean "the go to platform" if PS4 and 720 are always-online and block used games.
