How to create good graphics on console

No, I have played plenty of games on my friends super rig including Skyrim, MW3, Witcher 2 and more. I only noticed a slighly better performance at best.

Skyrim and Witcher 2 definitely looke better on PC. And skyrim looks leaps and bounds better with mods.

Halo 4 looks fantastic man and you're here talking about 2d backgrounds? Lol and then you wonder why some pc enthusiasts are labeled elitist pricks.greensand24

i am real. how much to you think a GPU equivalent to a 8800GTX(from 2006 than completely destroyed console) in performance cost? no more than $50 that is for sure.

You also need a good CPU. Your GPU could be rendered useless if you have an incompetant CPU. At the very least a Dual Core.

Dual cores retail for $55 where I work. Not hard to get. Prebuilt computers have had them as standard for the last 4-5 years excluding netbooks. Custom builders have had dual core for even longer, I first had a dual core in 2006.

Actually the 360 GPU is roughly on par with the X1900 series of cards from what I have read and the 5450 is not on par with that.

Not to mention that the 5450 will only play most PC games on low settings. Have some pride man, PC games aren't meant to play on low or medium, at least not in my mind.

I take pride in the fact that PC can give me better visuals than any other platform out there. I take pride in the fact that I built my own computer. The guy I was replying to seems to love to talk about better hardware even if he is trolling. It seems a waste to talk up PC's graphics if one was content with sticking a 5450 in their rig which will not show off at all why our platform is the best. It's like boasting about how fast a Ferrari is but then replacing the engine with one from a Pinto. Sure a Ferrari can be very fast but your Ferari won't be fast with the Pinto engine.

So I guess my point is that if someone is going o be all pro PC and talk about it's superior visuals than have enough pride in your computer to not recommend a video card that will not show those visuals off in the least.

Halo 4 actually has a pretty flawed MP. The multiplayer is full of glitches and lag. I've seen people go through walls, glitch into floors on flood mode, not die when being melee'd, vehicles that don't run over people despite going full speed, and some weapons are still unbalanced compared to others. Oh and unlocking plasma grenades = fail.

You're not doing much for your case when you tout Halo 4 as being a masterpiece in gameplay.

Oh and I forgot the massive FPS drops I've seen in the multiplayer, single and split screen.

The reason console games look so good considering their hardware is because developers can program the hardware at a much lower level. PC developers need to interface with the hardware through drivers which adds a lot of overhead.PernicioEnigma

That's a myth, BF3 & Crysis 2 for example, can run on PC's with weaker hardware than consoles just fine.
