It's just hardware. What does pride have to do with it?
lowe0
I take pride in the fact that PC can give me better visuals than any other platform out there. I take pride in the fact that I built my own computer. The guy I was replying to seems to love to talk about better hardware even if he is trolling. It seems a waste to talk up PC's graphics if one was content with sticking a 5450 in their rig which will not show off at all why our platform is the best. It's like boasting about how fast a Ferrari is but then replacing the engine with one from a Pinto. Sure a Ferrari can be very fast but your Ferari won't be fast with the Pinto engine.
So I guess my point is that if someone is going o be all pro PC and talk about it's superior visuals than have enough pride in your computer to not recommend a video card that will not show those visuals off in the least.
My computer can produce far better visuals than my consoles, but I really don't see what I did to make that happen that would engender pride. I bought parts off of Amazon and fit them together. Unless you break it down to screws, my PC has 14 parts and 22 cables in it. Compared to the old days of setting jumpers, or the even older days of just getting a board and a box of parts, I didn't really build it; I merely assembled it.Yes, but you can actually build it if you want... as in make your own case and customize whatever.
More hermits p!ssed off that the ancient sh!tty hardware of consoles is STILL giving us epic and improved looking games after 7 years. Halo 4 is brilliant looking. The funny thing is the best console games of today are just a few years behind PC. If you saying Halo 4 looks bad then your saying the majority of PC games look bad too.locopatho
Halo 4:
- Is blurry
-Is jaggy
-Has flat, low-res textures
-Has a massive overuse of bloom, lensflare, and HDR
-Has an abyssmal LOD and draw distance
I don't find it visually impressive, sue me.

Yeah and just a few short years ago hermits were on about Half Life 2 and FEAR being amazing graphically, yet many, many console games since have surpassed them. Short memories. The game's use of FXAA doesn't make the jaggies as noticeable as most console games...[QUOTE="MK-Professor"][QUOTE="FPSfan1985"] Which is pointless. My GPU alone costs more than a 360. It better have better graphics.PC_Otter
all it takes is a $50 GPU to beat console graphics.
Good luck seeing console like optimization. I wouldn't recommend anything less than a GDDR5 equipped Radeon 5670/6570 or Geforce GT440. Go up to $100 (Radeon 7750) and you'll actually see the worthwhile graphical reasons to be involved with PC gaming.lol what optimization  even a prehistoric ATI x1950 pro (that is 2 times SLOWER than the 8800GTX) play games like crysis 2 with slightly better graphics and performance than consoles video (don't forger that console version is sub-hd with 20-30fps)[QUOTE="Riadon2"]

The game's use of FXAA doesn't make the jaggies as noticeable as most console games...FXAA isn't enough for 1200p and is definitely not enough for 720p.

Or, ya know, full of sh!t ;) A few short years ago????????????????????????????????? Half Life 2 came out 8 years ago. 8 years ago Half Life 2 was absolutely mind blowing, and so far ahead of console games a la Metal Gear: Snake Eater, GTA: San Andreas, Halo 2, etc. Doom 3, FEAR and Far Cry on PC looked as good, but NOTHING on consoles could even compare until Gears of War and Oblivion came out in 2006.[QUOTE="Riadon2"][QUOTE="locopatho"] Yeah and just a few short years ago hermits were on about Half Life 2 and FEAR being amazing graphically, yet many, many console games since have surpassed them. Yeah that's my point. The console graphics today are comparable to PC graphics of a few years ago. Console graphics aren't "horrible" they're just a few years behind PC. I don't see how hermits can laud Half Life 2 as amazing graphically and then call console games which look better then it horrible. That makes no sense. Yes I know I'm comparing games many years apart, what does that matter? I don't see how a games prettiness is restricted to a timescale, a game either looks good or doesn't.I don't find blurry, jaggy, low-res/flat textured, bloom/lens-flare/hdr raped, abysmal lod/draw distanced games to be visually impressive.

HAHA oh wow  that's just awful! Does Halo 4 REALLY look like that, and people are praising it for looking amazing?! That "joke" game looks pretty decent though, what is it called? And that's Morrowind with mods I believe, but still better than Halo 4 .

I know. It's hilarious that the TC actually chose such a good looking game.

Except you know, the mountain in the background is 2D, did you actually play the game?
Tons of games use that 2D background. It's nothing new. oh god, every game but GTA has used this.[QUOTE="lostrib"]

There are plenty of great looking games on consoles, call me crazy but I find people on here tend to overexaggerate PC graphics BIG time.
ShadowMoses900
That's probably because you have a crappy PC
No, I have played plenty of games on my friends super rig including Skyrim, MW3, Witcher 2 and more. I only noticed a slighly better performance at best.
You actually expect people to believe that BS you say after you claimed to own a high end rig yourself, which was proven false ?
You never seize to amaze me shadowmoses
