How to create good graphics on console

I take pride in the fact that PC can give me better visuals than any other platform out there. I take pride in the fact that I built my own computer. The guy I was replying to seems to love to talk about better hardware even if he is trolling. It seems a waste to talk up PC's graphics if one was content with sticking a 5450 in their rig which will not show off at all why our platform is the best. It's like boasting about how fast a Ferrari is but then replacing the engine with one from a Pinto. Sure a Ferrari can be very fast but your Ferari won't be fast with the Pinto engine.

So I guess my point is that if someone is going o be all pro PC and talk about it's superior visuals than have enough pride in your computer to not recommend a video card that will not show those visuals off in the least.

Yes, but you can actually build it if you want... as in make your own case and customize whatever.

If I want to look at bad graphics, I'll fire up the ol' N64 or PSX. Halo 4 looks great.

-Is jaggy

-Has flat, low-res textures

-Has a massive overuse of bloom, lensflare, and HDR

-Has an abyssmal LOD and draw distance

I don't find it visually impressive, sue me.

FXAA isn't enough for 1200p and is definitely not enough for 720p.

^Dude, unless you are spoiled by playing only on gaming PCs, Halo 4 is fantastic looking. Easily one of the most beautiful console games, if not the most.

No, I have played plenty of games on my friends super rig including Skyrim, MW3, Witcher 2 and more. I only noticed a slighly better performance at best.
