only 9.75+ from the old system would be considered a 10 now, but bioshock has the best chance closely followed by crysis imo.

Crysis would never get AAAA, even getting 9.5 is gonna be very hard for them as the system requirents as was with sup com, will affect the score which sux but hey what can you do.

Bioshock, Phantom Hourglass, Mass Effect, and LBP have the best chance imo but I don't think any of them will get it since they will likely just give all the best games 9.5

also Spore if it ever comes out will have a decent chance

rumors on the street say bioshock is getting a 9.5 from gamespot. how someone could come up with that idk, but it seems logical seeing all the other AAA/AAAA reviews its gotten from other sites and mags

I'd have to argue that the FPS genre is soaring pretty high right now.

IMO Mass Effect has the best chance from what I spotted on the poll listings. The companies previous track record combined with the fact it will be the first noteable 2nd gen RPGto release for the new generation of consoles may just push it enough to do so.

But yeah, Bioshock is lookingbetter and better with each new bit of info that comes out.

But they dont even look at games with 9.9 in mind anymore. They don't say "Well this game actually gets a 9.9, so I'll just round it up/down." No. It is either perfect or simply superb.

You don't think Halo 3 can get a 10? 4 Player co-op single player. Multiplayer is always great. Graphics are beautiful. has a great story line. Play seems to be fluid in the other 1s. I think that has a good chance of being a 10. If we don't see a ten by the end of 08, then there might not be one for this gen of gamingKevondadon

Halo 3 will not get anything higher then a 9.5, it will be lucky to get even that actually. GS and other reviewers will knock it heavily for below standards graphics for next gen consoles, one would think that the visuals would be better but they are not. Bioshock alone will outscore Halo 3.

I noticed some people calling 10 score game "Perfect". But if you look at the GS rating system page, you can see that they actually changed it to "Prime". Its not Perfect 10 anymore, its Prime 10.

This exactly what the rating needed. Perfect didnt work because no game will ever be perfect, they just needed a term that described how a game by standards at the time of its release, couldnt be improved in any way, and was just incredible. I also asume by this that they will be more generous now with giving out 10s.

To me, Bioshock and Crysis are the only 2 games that can make it. Mario Galaxy could, im sure the gameplay will be just "prime", but im pretty sure it will have shortcomings on the sound department and maybe other areas like most Wii games.

It's alright what he's saying... He's just speculating what he think will happen... nothing wrong with that, and I sort of agree w/ him... But I do think that both Halo, and Bioshock will get 9.5's...

Now adays no game will get a perfect score imo...to much things are put into it...To say a game has a perfect story, gmeplay, replay value, and graphics is just asking to much in such a small time frame...MGS4 is the only game i think can get a perfect score, but thats only cause thier who series is great and GS is a tad bias...Halo...dont even see how it gets over a 9, it is such a weak game *without online or multiplayer that it*mgreener_34

I know exactly what you are saying, but 10/10 = Prime, not perfect. But that whole thing about Halo, it has one of the best stories I've ever seen, best graphics at the time, and AWESOME online play... = value... LOL you can't overlook online.

agreed. its sutpidfies reviews and makes reviewers lazy cause they just copy and paste for multiplate games. multiplat games are always going to get the same score unless something is terribly flawed with the game compared to the other
