[QUOTE="exiledsnake"][QUOTE="saolin323"] NOw to FF13 features
- Watch into videos
- Play some linear battles to get in the battle system
- Watch FMV
- Visit town, talk to some NPC's
- Buy stuff from a shop
- Go out of town
- Watch more FMV
- Do battles
- Watch FMV
- Upgrade charatcers, maybe summons too
- Do more battles, do more upgrading, more buy/sell from shops, more FMV watching
- As the game comes to finish, start exploring for secrets, best weapons etc
- Use them to kill the final and optional bosses
So, linear stuff, some tiny exploration in the linear small reas, much FMV wathcing, MUCH time spent in tedious confined battles, maybe a mini game or two to break the usual JRPG monotony
That is NOT my idea of next gen RPG gaming, sorry, that is the FF7 recepie copied again, and again, and then some more
Fable 2 is the future
saolin323
So how does fable play?
That would take 100 pages to describe, so just look the features above, and play out a scenario yourself
Of course that would be hard, since cities change, you change, NPC's reactions change, the world changes around you, and you can't be sure how it would react to anything you do, even your first hours of play could create a totally different world to play in
Your actions influence both the world and the story, in a big way, it is the main Fable 2 feature actually
Then you can have jobs, family, run shops, own castes, become king of castled cities, or even emperor of all of Albion
You can buy each house, shop etc and get quests from the biggest ones, rent them, run the shops, fill them with goods, kill enemies and bring back trophies for sale etc etc
And that just scrathces the simulation, NPC behaviours etc running behind the game, or the dynamic, free roaming, huge, full of secrets and STUNING epic places to see world
Let me guess: Peter told you so!
