Don't you mean scarabs not scorpion tanks? Anyway looks pretty awesome to me and it seems they've made the campaign a bit more varied, breaking parts up more with large "boss" battles.

That's always been a good thing. A linear game should mask its linearity, just like how most games mask their repetition. I'm not sure that a simple mounted gun sequence makes it "much more than a corridor shooter" however.
I read in another forum the one thing KZ3 is missing is flying limbs and I kind of agree. An arm here or a leg there with maybe just a torso thrown in occasionally would make if feel more Saving Private Ryanish. Theirs so many explosions happening all around you that it wouldactually add more realism if they added it in. What do you guys think???

In a update they gave they said the did fix the recoil issue... In that preview video the guns have little to no recoil, one thing I can say is it was the preview code so things might change in the future, personally I don't see it changing, they want to make Killzone more accessible.

They claimed to address those things in the final product, they didn't add a patch because they said it would of been much more work. That's what I recall. Someone copied and pasted what the developer said in the Hype thread.

If anything, titles like Halo and Call of Duty need to die. Halo and Call of Duty there job about as well as Killzone does. Structure wise Killzone is more or less Call of Duty. They replace pacing(because the pacing in KZ is ass compared to CoD1/CoD4) with admittedly more satisfying gun play and better enemy AI. Outside of that though the core action is the same played out action you'll get in the "need to die" shooters that are Halo and Call of Duty. Outside of that though it hardly does many things right that you can't credit the other 2 with either.

Just because some people might not be exposed to FPS gaming as much as you might have does not mean you have to come and rain on the parade of those that actually prefer these kinds of games. Oh my christ. I didn't even say anything about the game being "another FPS this is why it sucks". My initial complaint was some douche on IGN saying "fighting a giant mech gave him a sense of the dread and hopelessness his character was feeling" I find that line to be massive hyperbole. We have faces god knows what kind of monstrous creatures/machines in god knows how many games. What the **** is different about this mech that suddenly he feels dread? If you're going to say something that douche(yes I think saying something like that is hella douchy) then you back that damn comment up with a reason why it gives you a nice sense of hopelessness and all that jazz. Personally I like shooters. I thought that comment was just absurd though. As for the "people on this forum part". he said it was just the shooter fans. I opened it up to the entire forum. Question you've never watched a trailer to something everyone is all hot about and thought "eww really?" because I call shens :]
