I don't think TP deserves its rank (gamerankings)

I would've given Zelda an 8.0 or 7.5, to be honest. The wii functions are pathetic, the graphics are okay, but the geometry and textures are pathetic. Its linear and once you get a new item you choke the use out of it on that temple/dungeon until the next item which gets b**** suffocated.

Halo 3 came out in quicker succession than the Zelda games so its formula is still preserved. Its multiplayer is pretty fun, but sp just doesn't feel as good as the original.

I mean, sure its a hell of a long game, it's zelda, ya ya ya.... but it is like a remake of ocarina of time except linear. As a sheep, i think it rightfully deserves gamespot's score. Same goes with halo 3 , it is more of the same, these two games just got great scores because they are from a AAA series.han_186

it is my third favorite zelda game and i feel it should have been ranked a bit higher. but as this is all opinion none of it really matters what any of us think.

majoras mask was my all time fav, followed by windwaker, followed by twillight princess. i think every reviewer out there was drunk and high when they played majoras mask because i think it was amazing! but that is my opinion, not thers and probably not yours.

and since more people have an opinion that differs from yours that is the reason it is ranked so high. just like if i reviewed halo 3 it would have got an 8 becuase i played it before. and think halo should have been called halo 2.5 CE. it seems like one big expansion pack of halo 2s mp and like i am replaying halo ce all over again story wise. but i did not review it and most peoples opinions are different than mine.

Are you kidding me? It is not a remake of OoT, or even close, as he says. Yes, it has link in it.. yes, it has zelda and ganondorf. So that makes it a remake? Oh no? It has the three triforce pieces? Wait, the triforce is a staple of the zelda series.. in fact, the series revolves around the triforce. TP takes place in the same world as OOT, it's a sequal.. so yes, that's why the land looks similar(though that's only the very basic design, ie the location of the village, death mountain, and the like) and why they refer to three triforce pieces (i believe this is supposed to be the same ganondorf, while zelda and link are the next in the line as is tradition in the zelda games)

I think you're forgetting that although the triforce pieces were present in the game, they played a minor role. The more important aspect was the Twili and the twilight relm, and the choosen hero who would transform in the relm of twilight.

Zelda is about exploration and an epic adventure. That means you take link through everything nature has to offer. The highest mountains to the deepest ocean. And that's what TP did.

IMO, TP is underrated even on gamerankings. It was a masterpiece in all aspects but its technical graphics and sound(which are not even that bad, though a definite criticism), unfortunatly due to it being a gamecube game.

I completely agree, Zelda TP isn't AAA quality material and I'm a big Zelda fan. The game just came off bad, its way to much like OOT. Majora's Mask and Wind Waker were going in the right direction, but fans didn't like them so Nintendo gave them what they wanted. A rehash of OOT. Its sad to say, but Zelda TP is the first Zelda game I had to force myself to complete. I just couldn't get into the story or game. The game just never picked up, it was very mellow.

I have to agree with this guy. OOT to me is overated. I still would've given it a nine but nowhere near the best games ever IMO. For some reason I felt compelled to play TP, where as with OOT i just never feel like playing it. Then again I've only played it recently, the effect would've been better when it came out.

Like that pretty much the story of zelda. Those elements are in almost all zelda games. And its deffinatly not a remake of OoT. Way different story and some new settings. I liked the game alot. It deserved it score (gamerankings).

technically as in of course its better its a sequel, but i also posted sequels to other games which were not better than their counterparts on previous systems.

I tried playing Twilight Princess right after beating Okami, and it just felt inferior in almost every single way. I'm a huge zelda fan, but TP just didn't do anything for me. I think the gamespot score was generous. Tatimus
