I HATE how all of my friends have an Xbox 360 and believe the PS3 is garbage.

Most of my friends owned an original Xbox and a PS2. But when the "next generation of gaming" came about, they went soley with the 360 and blindly hate on the PS3. I know im not alone because many people here in SW have a 360 because their friends do. (I being one of those people)

I'm 18 in College at Houston, TX. It seems to me that its almost cool to like the Xbox 360 over the other systems. It is it's own fad.

When hanging out in between classes and i catch some "gamer" talk, i chime in. 90% of the time its people talking about COD or Halo but everynow and then they'll just say ignorant things like the PS3 online is garbarge and no one needs bluray its a waste of money. All of these are great opinions but man, this really grinds my gears.

Do you ever see any of this situation in your life? Do your friends all have 360's and you find yourself being the only PS3 owner?

I know exactly what you mean. I can't even bring up the PS3 without getting flak for it. If I mention "Killzone" or "Resistance" or "Littlebigplanet", I get bombarded with hate. One person tried to tell me that Uncharted was the only good game on the PS3... Damn kids...

Yes thats how it is now, 360 is America's HD console. Last gen it was almost garunteed your friend had a PS2, same as 360 now. In fact not enough of my friends have a PS3 (only have 1 friend with one) to warrant a purchase (I do alot of online). My Gaming pc and 360 are enough.

Move to Switzerland, pretty much every gamer has or wants a PS3 around here. Sure there are a few hardcore Halo fans, but most are Sony fans ^^

well they are right on some things xbox live is better then psn just look at how bad black ops is on the ps3.

And trust me i have both copies but i do love the blu-ray player that the ps3 has i mean that was really the main reason

i got the system for. That and MGS & GOW which were must have for me.

Yeah same issue with me, but fortunately a lot of them came to their senses and realized that the PS3 and 360 are equally as good :D

A lot of my friends got a PS3, and even switched from 360 to PS3, but now I have both as well, so it doesn't really matter to me anymore

OP, I'm kinda with you on this one. In my area, all my friends only have xbox 360s... given the choice, I wish we would all convert to PS3s, but no one wants to first because they would have no one to play with. Result of Microsoft's launching of the xbox 360 first. That said, I still love my 360, I'm just don't like subscription fees (its not a $$$ thing, I'm just OCD about it; hate timecards, make me feel like I HAVE to play to get my money's worth)

I had a similiar response when I was talking about GoldenEye(wii) and they told me it had bad graphics and my inner-fanboy came out and said "Well, you know what? Go buy a gaming rig and play Crysis all day".

just like how sw and the entire gaming community changed their opinion about the ps3 you're friends will too probably soon because it doesnt look as if 360 has anything new...same thing gears and halo each every year but add kinect to that.......fun:|....plus the 360 has america for some reason but the rest of the world ps3

most all the males i know has a 360, and all my friends game on it. naturally the choice is easy. plus XBL is far more community friendly than PSN- Cross Game Chat

the only friends i know that have a PS3 are of african american or asian decent though.

uninformed friends are uninformed.

All my friends are PC only gamers, and some of them do consider consoles to be trash; mainly because of the graphics. -_-
Some are willing to play some games on my consoles, but they don`t play enough to actually purchase one of their own. Kind of sucks, but what can you do?

The PS3 online is garbage. Players are horrible compared to XBL gamers (based on my COD experience). For competitive gamers, PS3 is the minor leagues. For antisocial games, errr single player exclusives, you can make the argument PS3 is better.shadow8585

Here in the Uk (At least among my friends) it seems the 360 is the casuals console of choice, the people who buy FIFA and COD and nothing else every year and the PS3 is used more by people who enjoy plaing a range of games from various genre.

I dislike it when anyone says any console is useless as all consoles have stand out games worth playing, and it annoys me when people say the Wii only has shovelware when it has some of the best games this gen.

Honestly I have no ideaa why Xbox is more popular. I prefer the PS3 cause it has the most awsome exclusives like uncharted 2 and demons souls. The Xbox only has a few good ones like Halo and Forza (I'll w8 20 seconds for an insult or moderation). You even have to pay to play online what a rip off!!

Most people I know who own PS3s are just idiotic COD fans and don't know the definition of a good game. FYI: COD ISNT THAT GREAT COMPARED TO ALOT OF GAMES ON THE MARKET EX: METAL GEAR SOLID SERIES, BIOSHOCK, PORTAL, BATTLEFEILD BAD COMPANY 2, HALF-LIFE, UNREAL TOURNAMENT, ETC.
