Yea right. That 3 year warranty is the biggest gimmick in the history of gaming. The 360 problems were so serious that MS were looking at a class action lawsuit and the risk of 360s to stop being manufactured. So guess what to avoid the lawsuit, they simply put out this 3 year warranty not because they love or care about you, but to avoid lawsuits.

Sony has sold you all a Blu-Ray player disguised as a gaming machine so nobody's perfect.
[QUOTE="Ninten007"][QUOTE="Khansoul"][QUOTE="Ninten007"][QUOTE="Khansoul"][QUOTE="xxThyLordxx"]its a known FACT. PS3 > Xbox 360.Khansoul
Known to who? The PS3 is a Blu-Ray player nothing more at this time.
Really? Then why can I play games on it?
The games were an afterthought to Sony. The real money is in having the winning format thus Blu-Ray initiative.
I can say the same about the 360 which is a DVD and HD-DVD player because there are more movies out for it than games. See how stupid that is?
Not to mention Sony also sells standalone Blu-Ray players, which only plays Blu-Ray movies as opposed to the PS3 which can go in the internet, play games, and do alot more.
The 360 was built from day one to play games the HD-DVD was a add on not forced on us. The Cell is not meant for gaming thus why most PS3 titles are still underperforming. Microsoft went to developers and asked exactly what they wanted and Sony and their infinite arrogance built the Cell a worthless technology that again is not made for gaming.
PS3 games underperforming? Uh, I have a ton of PS3 games, some of them with really intense graphics (Heavenly Sword comes to mind) and they dont underperform at all. If youre gonna make claims like that you need to back it up with some hard evidence. And as for the Cell processor not made for gaming, the PS3 has games in its library that graphically are better looking and more stunning than anything I've seen on the 360. I love both systems but youre just spouting sensational bs and I'm sorry but it really seems like you dont really know what youre talking about.

I hate Sony, I hate PS3, and they have no good games.(How would I know, when I don't play any of them?lol.)"
TC, Enjoy your console, the above post is just me jabbing at SW future posts that are going to spring up. I have all the systems, and they are all great in their own way.

Soon, I'm going to be making the same topic when I get mine :) I will say like the exact thing lol.
Except the part of liking it more then the 360. I will like them equally. :D

force = longer support blu-ray winning because of this. cell is made for multiple things not just gaming it great for everything. the cell is aproving with the game front and also the reason it has a higher peak porformance than the 360. ever dev has said it. even john gormack what ever his name is.the blu-ray force was great for us ps 3 users because now we don't have a dead media format.
[QUOTE="njean777"][QUOTE="Shattered007"][QUOTE="Achaean728"][QUOTE="pakman3000"][QUOTE="MerisYaki"]Surprise.. You didn't even mention games
Not ps3s strong point.Shattered007
Exactly.
Being an owner of both a 360 and a PS3, I'm inclined to disagree with you guys. I think you're only considering the time frame of when the PS3 was first released and yes, at that time the selection of good games was slim. Today, however, I feel the PS3 has just a strong game selection, if not stonger, than the 360, especially in the area of exclusives (especially soon to be released exclusives). Just because the 360 has a larger selection of games does not mean that all of those games are going to be good, and to be honest many games in the large library of 360 games are complete crap.
In the time that I've owned both a 360 and PS3, I've found myself with a larger collection of games for the PS3 and I've found myself playing my PS3 alot more frequently than my 360 and mind you, I dont play multiplayer games, I'm simply talking about single player games. If I were to start playing multiplayer games, I'd bet that my time on my PS3 would triple.
This shows me either you werent intrested in the exclusives on the 360 or you didn't buy any games for your 360 for some reason. Yes, the PS3 has a great selection of games (especially for people that don't own a 360) but as a 360 owner first the PS3 appell is shot for me...I wouldn't recommend both...That was my mistake....but I guess it was okay since I got my PS3 for free.Well i got my 360 back at launch and have regretted it since i have had it. I have had an rrod on it also. I have a total of 3 games on it gears of war, Halo3, Viva pinata. Ps3 on the other hand i have had a blast with i have almost all of the exclusives plus i buy all multiplats on it because of the free online and RROD. I dont pay for live because it is not worth it no matter what way you spin it. I still am shocked at how lemmings are proud to pay for online. Its all a matter of opinion it is not a fact that 360 has better games then ps3 or vice versa its all opinion.
Damn, I didn't know that system wars was the no spin zone..Well, Personally I like talking to my friends and other people when I play GTA4 Freeroaming....I know you can do it with the PS3 but the simple fact was that in almost every game I played in GTA4 free roam had maybe 1-2 people with mics... othr than that it was stone cold silent.Other than that it's pointless to talk about XBL or any other thing about the 360 since it wont change what you think...(I personally don't talk much on here, I perfer to watch the PS3 fanboys[not calling you one] call the 360 price drops desperation but call the PS3 price drops great marketing.) What this all boils down for me is that I own a Gaming PC and a Gaming Labtop a PS3 and a 360 and even with me having more games for the PC than any I still play my 360 more than any other one. I know and understand that for some they enjoy the PS3 over all other gaming consoles it's hard for me to understand the logic in some people and the post they make claiming that the PS3 is far supperior considering that as a gaming console they match pretty evenlly...
Wow that was one of the most respectable replies i have gotten on here you sir are a winner.

Heavenly Sword runs at about 15 frames a second 99% of the time. The graphics certainly weren't as good as many cows made them out to be either. There was a stark difference between the cutscenes and gameplay. The textures went from utterly gorgeous to incredibly flat in the space of a second. They certainly weren't in-game, seeing how skipping them resulted in a lengthy loading screen. They were just videos using the in-game engine at it's peak to cover up the loading screen. It beats the 10 year loading screen, but it sure ain't in-game.

Did you even play the game? I just beat it and the framerate was never "about 15 frames a second 99% of the time." Even in the final battle when there are literally over a thousand units on screen the game didnt drop to 15 frames per second. I think youre over exaggerating a bit, my friend. In my opinion, I thought Heavenly Sword was a beautiful game, both during gameplay and in cut-scenes. As for loading times, they werent that bad, there have been many games with far longer load times. I think you 360 fanboys like to just bash anything PS3. As a fan of both consoles, I thought the HS was a beautiful game and rivaled some of the best that the 360 had to offer.
Give it a month. Then review your opinion.MegaPigeon
Yeah, new stuff is always nice but the real question is whether or not you enjoy it in the long-term.
[QUOTE="Superstrokey"][QUOTE="Singularity22"][QUOTE="ejstrup"][QUOTE="Singularity22"]I have an HD monitor, Blu ray drive, high end components, a game library that goes back to the mid '90s, I still dont know what im missing? Except maybe MGS4 but thats one game.Singularity22
do you like playing games?
Why yes, yes I do. Notice the sentence "I have a game library that goes back to the mid '90s" meaning my games list goes from here and now back to about '96.
So I guess I'm going to ask again, what am I missing out on?
Well look at the list of exclusive ps3 games, thats what your missing out on... honestly
The only Ps3 game exclusive I'm intrested in playing is MGS4 but that does not justify dropping a couple hundred dollars on a machine that I'm going to play one game on.
Well you could afford to upgrade your rig with a blu-ray player, and 'high-end components'. How much does that cost? And I can guarantee you spent hundreds of dollars upgrading your rig just so you could max Crysis. So basicaly you spent hundreds of dollars to play one game on one machine.(Everybody who is a hardcore PC gamer is going to eventually upgrade their old machine to play that 'one special game'). IMO
