I think it's safe to assume that Ps3 is the best console this gen

it's a system that combines both the quality of hardware and software, great exclusive titles and a fairly big library. the 360 has a bigger library, but it just won't come close to what the ps3 as a whole has to offer.

the only real disappointment was the Wii, though, mainly because of its non-hd approach, which I still can't understand why they didn't equip a console with an at least decent graphics card, even if not as powerful as the 360's, but the Wii in HD would have made a whole difference and would probably have also effected the perception on the quality of the console itself and its exclusives, which in my opinion are unmatched, but playing them in SD on a HD Tv really makes you scream "why??".

so this gen, for me it goes:

1. ps3

2. 360

3. wii

And yet it has the least amount of highly rated games... both on Gamerankings and Gamespot. The Wii and PC have more exclusives, the 360 has more overall totals and the PS3 is just last in everything. I don't see that as "best" I see that as "worst."foxhound_fox

On-topic: Agreed, TC. Sony exclusives have been fantastic this gen.

Last gen ps2 was the best and nobody can deny that...this gen its just a closer call between 360 and ps3 and thats why its not that easy for everyone to see. but ps3 has been top notch for couple of years now and its all about games. wii wins in its own category. it wins by default because it doesnt have competition(i am talking about genre of games and games in general). but ps3 and 360 are competing against each other for better games. enough about sales, multiple disks, blu ray, online, 3d, motion controlls etc etc. in the end you buy the console because you like the games. so ps3 is a winner for me and if its not for some people now. once the gen is over and there will be ps4, 360-2. you will look back without being biased and see who was the winner. and critics will say that ps3 won the 7th gen.

and please. dont flame here about and down but what about teh sales. sales determine everything. wii wins 360 is second and ps3 is third and sales is god almighty. because if we talk sales. then we can say that iphone 4 is the best phone ever since it sold god knows how much but everyone has one. we all know there are better phones that dont sell that well since its not apple... so come on. NO, teh sales mean everything

I'd like to say it is. But there's something holding me back from my enjoyment, probably PSN, lacking, or the poorly put together system software.

It does however have all the exclusivesssss.

I guess Xbox Live just keeps me coming back, it's just well done, and all my friends use it.

While I agree with you that PS3 is the "best" console, but that's just an opinion. Some people like 360 more or whatever else more and there isn't anything wrong with that. Neither system is truly "better" than the other...

haha i like how people assume things that are just their opinion. i'd actually put it in 2nd place, but that's just my opinion.

over all ps3 is much better then the 360. However the 360 still holds up with its games. But the ps3 has way better hardware.

I agree that the PS3 is far and away the best home console this generation. Sony really recovered from their devastating start and delivered on the goods. Kudos Sony :) As it stands now, the PS4 might be the only console that I buy next generation. Coming from a long time Nintendo die hard, I'd say that's saying a lot.charizard1605
