I think its time to tell hermits WHY we consolites dont like pc gaming

ZOMG MY PC PWNZ UR KONSOLL NUUUB...

I hear this everyday on this board and it kinds of tick me off.Even though pc has the best library,graphics and online there are reasons why I dont like pc gaming.So consolites its time to tell hermits why we preffer consoles

I was a hermit for 5 years.Laughing at the ps1/ps2 owners and saying who the hell plays consoles.Then when one day POP:SOT didnt work on my pc,I decided to get a ps2 as I dint have the fuzz to get an upgrade.At first I thought consoles are alright.I was dissapointed by the sad online,lesser graphics and memory card system.Plus the controls.But slowly I started to like it.And once I tried the 360 I just couldnt go back to PC's.Even though console games are almost 1.5 times the cost of pc games in my country,I just dont like pc gaming anymore

Here are the reasons why I like 360 more than PC

1.I get to lay back on my bed and play.Playing on a chair sucks.Even though I can use a controller with PC it still isnt standard with all games

2.Lack of splitscreen.Playing 2 player splitscreen versus on timesplitters future perfect on ps2 was instant love.This is one of the PRIME reasons why I love consoles now

3.Installs.I hate installs.I am at a freakin loss at how ps3 gamers can keep up with it .If I was a ps3 owner I would be flat out angry.Still the percentage of games that require installs on ps3 isnt much.Plus there are no installation issues.It really sucked when I hade to reinstall a game because a particular file wasnt found

4.UPGRADES.Second prime reason why I dont like pc games anymore.Deny all you want an upgrade is required every 3 years to keep up with pc gaming.Whereas with 360 I spend grands on a game and I know it will run

5.BROD,Viruses,system crashes and other issues.Yes rrod is a problem on the 360 but its nothing compared to the avalanche of problems PC gaming can give you if you dont take care

6.A diffrent experience for everyone.Now this here was also a major issue.Sometime playing online it can happen that my oponent has a $$$ gaming pc with the best gaming mouse and can kick my A$$ hard.On the 360 everyone has almost the same experience

7.Hacking not possible without modding console

There are other reasons I cant think up right now.So yeah hermits no need to fuzz our minds with constantly saying that PC has the best graphics.Do we know that :-Yes.Will I personally give up console gaming after knowing that:-No.

I dont know how old all you "consolitez" are but you have to be in your 60+s to find sitting up straight uncomfortable.... or just terrible postures... might want to visit a doctors.

Okay, let me tell you a story.

I was a console gamer for 13 years until 2006 when I went and got Hitman 2 for PC because I didn't have any current-gen console. I enjoyed my experience so I got another PC game, then another, and another, and another eventually making me ditch consoles as my primary platform.

I don't get why people, like you, find operating a PC equivilant to brain surgery. From when I just started PC gaming I thought it was pretty simple to get everything good and running. And it's like that every time for me.

I can easily hook up my PC on my TV and plug in a gamepad like I did with A Creed. Simple and fun.

You should really be asking if PC gamers actually care for splitscreen when they have the best online capabilities.

If installs make you upset then you're more of a crybaby. Sorry that you might have to wait a few minutes.

Like I said in another thread, the last time I upgraded my PC was 1 year ago and it still does a pretty good job running modern games.

Viruses come because the user might be too stupid to know what's safe or not. Do you fall into this category?

And of course everybody hacks. I don't remember the last time I played with a hacker in TF2.

PC gaming isn't going anywhere up, is what you mean.

All good reasons to pick a console, but personally I've never really suffered from those issues.

If I feel like it I can lay back and play from my bed using a pad. Usually I prefer KB/M and that's best on a desk.

Splitscreen would be nice but since I only need it occasionally PES or something will do fine.

Installs I don't mind since I can surf the net during it or something, and in return get faster loading times and often even get rid of the disk in drive.

Upgrades don't feel that expensive to me at least.

Stability issues can be annoying, luckily I haven't had them in years.

PC online can be brutal, but the unfair equipment and haxxor arguments are really just noob excuses. Host advantage and exploits can propably be bigger issues on consoles.

the way i look is that consoles keep playing catch up. first with FPS, then with online and what not

I don't like the idea of spending a crap-ton of money on the most up to date computer hardware and then having it become outdated in a short amount of time because Nvidias released a new graphics card etc.... Consoles are just more dependablePopadophalis

Like I said in another thread, the last time I upgraded my PC was 1 year ago and it still does a pretty good job running modern games.

Viruses come because the user might be too stupid to know what's safe or not. Do you fall into this category?

And of course everybody hacks. I don't remember the last time I played with a hacker in TF2.

Yes you can use yoyr gamepad but not with all games

Viruses are one issue pc has tones.It all depends on your luck and managment

And why should I ask if hermits care about splitscreen ot not .Am saying I CARE.End of story

Seriesly, you can download all the p0rn you want if you do it the right way and keep your Firewall and Antivirus up to date. I mean that's why we all have PC in the first place, to download p0rn, ADMIT IT!

I don't get why people, like you, find operating a PC equivilant to brain surgery. From when I just started PC gaming I thought it was pretty simple to get everything good and running. And it's like that every time for me.

I can easily hook up my PC on my TV and plug in a gamepad like I did with A Creed. Simple and fun.

You should really be asking if PC gamers actually care for splitscreen when they have the best online capabilities.

If installs make you upset then you're more of a crybaby. Sorry that you might have to wait a few minutes.

TC believe me,this is the worst place to come and argue.No one would want to face the facts over here.Majority of the people here are little teenagers,average age of around 15.I would suggest you to go try some other forum.But over there it would be useless as many people will already agree with you.

Can I be a PC gamer and a console gamer?

I've been playing Video games since I was a nipper back in 1984 (I'm 30 now) and during that time I've owned computers and games consoles. From my humble beginnings on a C64 to a Xbox 360.

I like to experience gaming by getting the best of both worlds. Please don't paint all PC gamers with the same brush, as many of us own consoles too (although some will never admit it). I was a solid PC gamer from 1999 till 2004, but that doesn't mean I hated consoles, after all I owned them in the past. From 1997 to 1999 I had a Playstation, one of the best consoles I've ever owned at the time. In late 04 I bought an Xbox, good times, it still works, in fact I was playing on it yesterday evening.

Now I also built my own PC, and your right, you do need to upgrade every three years to keep up. This can be a pain and it burns a hole in your pocket. Sure COD 4 looks stuning in 1440x900 with graphics maxed out and 2x AA, but my 360 version still looks fantastic and I didn't need to spend £1000 to make it look that way.

Sure Crysis looks stunning, but I still like to play James Bond on my old original Xbox from time to time. Maybe its my age?

So I'm a PC gamer and console gamer. I have an Xbox, Xbox 360 aWii and a PSP. Are we a rare breed?
