Well the first of all..i dont think any of your links are worth reading at all..

but anyways..ID is a long gone devloper in the PC market...ID is just forgot in many PC gamers minds..i love id..but i understand that what they are today..are completly different then what they were 10 years ago..

ID is going for a more multiplat state of mind..ID is now starting to creat games that cater towards everyone instead of one crowd..In Quakecon08 Jhon carmack even said that Shooters are best on PC during his keynote..and that they would continue to support PC..just add on the consoles as well...

Simplicity. I don't have to set my screen resolution or tell each new game that I have surround sound. Stuff like AA/AF is already set up for me, so I don't have to try to tweak it to my system specs (especially if you have to enter a config file instead of the menus). There's only one friend list, so I don't have to maintain multiple in Steam/Xfire/etc.. There's only one VoIP system, so I don't have to coordinate with everyone whether we're using in-game/Ventrilo/Teamspeak.

Also, I prefer gamepads. Yeah, the PC supports them, but none of the devs seem to have played a console game - assuming the game supports them at all, the controls are nonsensical (Crysis & Warhead, I'm looking at you). I have yet to find a PC game that supports gamepads to my liking, and I'm not interested in hacking around with a 3rd party tool to emulate a mouse/keyboard.

Finally, while console games do require patches, I haven't had nearly as much trouble with them as I have with Crysis and Warhead. Whether it's game-breaking scripting bugs (the cave bug in Crysis) or freezes (the mine in Warhead), I simply don't see issues like this on consoles. The last time a console game hard-locked on me was Metroid Prime, almost 6 years ago, and the only game with a game-breaking bug I've played recently was Haze (which, to be fair, was crap all-around). The problem is that there's no certifying authority on PC to stop developers from releasing until they've fixed their game, because there's nothing they could do to stop the dev anyway.

Console gaming is just an entirely different experience from PC gaming. I used to love PC gaming (going all the way back to 1994 with Doom and X-Wing), and still have a gaming PC, but I'd much rather play consoles now - I only use my PC for exclusives, and get all the multiplats on my 360 or PS3.

No, I stayed strong on my opinion because of how peeps come across on here! Calling people ignorant for one! And then I give good links to articles that give pro's and con's of both gaming styles!

Neither article puts down PC gaming! They just simply state that consoles have come out on top, mostly because they are cheap!

The fact is, some are DENYING FACTS!! And there is no need to get huffy on these fourms! We are all intitled to our opinions!

I do agree PC gives you better graphics and has a better look. But to me consoles make graphics look good enough. Look at RE5 coming up compared to PS2 graphics! Consoles may not be the best graphic wise but it is making improvements by leaps and bounds.

And besides I don't know how many times I heard "Graphics aren't everything"

I hear this everyday on this board and it kinds of tick me off.Even though pc has the best library,graphics and online there are reasons why I dont like pc gaming.So consolites its time to tell hermits why we preffer consoles

I was a hermit for 5 years.Laughing at the ps1/ps2 owners and saying who the hell plays consoles.Then when one day POP:SOT didnt work on my pc,I decided to get a ps2 as I dint have the fuzz to get an upgrade.At first I thought consoles are alright.I was dissapointed by the sad online,lesser graphics and memory card system.Plus the controls.But slowly I started to like it.And once I tried the 360 I just couldnt go back to PC's.Even though console games are almost 1.5 times the cost of pc games in my country,I just dont like pc gaming anymore

Here are the reasons why I like 360 more than PC

1.I get to lay back on my bed and play.Playing on a chair sucks.Even though I can use a controller with PC it still isnt standard with all games

Been done to death a thousand times, its easy to attach a PC to a TV. Plus I have a laptop that I can use anywhere and you'd be surprised how many games it runs perfectly!

2.Lack of splitscreen.Playing 2 player splitscreen versus on timesplitters future perfect on ps2 was instant love.This is one of the PRIME reasons why I love consoles now

3.Installs.I hate installs.I am at a freakin loss at how ps3 gamers can keep up with it .If I was a ps3 owner I would be flat out angry.Still the percentage of games that require installs on ps3 isnt much.Plus there are no installation issues.It really sucked when I hade to reinstall a game because a particular file wasnt found

As you state the PS3 already has installs. Part of the 360's issue is that it doesn't have a standard hard drive and this has frustrated developers.

4.UPGRADES.Second prime reason why I dont like pc games anymore.Deny all you want an upgrade is required every 3 years to keep up with pc gaming.Whereas with 360 I spend grands on a game and I know it will run

If you bought a core you'll need to upgrade, plenty of people have upgraded to an elite. Or want to "upgrade" to a newer model beacause of say *ahem* RROD? The PS3 models have seen huge changes with BC as an example.

5.BROD,Viruses,system crashes and other issues.Yes rrod is a problem on the 360 but its nothing compared to the avalanche of problems PC gaming can give you if you dont take care

6.A diffrent experience for everyone.Now this here was also a major issue.Sometime playing online it can happen that my oponent has a $$$ gaming pc with the best gaming mouse and can kick my A$$ hard.On the 360 everyone has almost the same experience

IMO.........console gaming is much more convenient, and is less hassle. I don't like RTS's, RPG's, or strategy games, and I prefer controllers just as much if not more than k/m. I don't care for mods, for they don't provide anything to better my gaming experience. Playing a game with a few extra textures at 1920x1080, with AA at 100 fps doesn't better my gaming experience either, so the few multiplats that interest me said to be better on PC is irrelevant. Crysis is the only PC exclusive game that interest me, and one game isn't enough to warrant the purchase of 10 - 13 components to build a gaming rig that can actually run the game smoothly. Like a couple hermits posted above, it's all about the games! Guess what for me, the PC doesn't provide enough to spark my interest. My 2 cents.

To TC, you can't win against the hermits whether your trying to get a point across, state the obvious, or just trying to argue. Believe me I've tried.

Mods? Console games are now starting to see mods too. LBP, Unreal.

Again, you said you didn't like mods, but its the extra content not the graphics that makes the difference.

I agree though if you don't like strategy games or RPG's you probably belong on a console. At the end of the day its about what games you enjoy.
