I think PSN HOME is a terrible idea...

Whats the point? it just seems like such a waste of time, why add all these steps to view, and meet up with friends? They just need to simplify it...Who cares about setting up your pad, and dressng up your character? I mean it sounds like a lame version of Sims...If I want to meet up with a friend on XBL I send him a chat, or message, or just invite him to the game...If I want to see what new content there is, I go to the media tab, and choose if I want to see tv shows, movies, games, or games content...Its very simple....I dont have to walk around my little Sim to the area, or wait at my pad to meet up with friends...

Plain and simple, its just a waste of time....Unless your playing it as a game...in which case its an Inferior version of the Sims online....

Cause some people like desiging thier home and characters. So this might intrest them like second life. Also this is free too. Unless you want to really hook up your pad. In which then you have to pay something. I think second life works the same way. Also there is a comunity so you can meet new people and make firends. Also you can jump into an online game from home and teleport from one area to another. So there is no real hassel.

Sony's Home edition for the PS3, as I feel, will be one of those things that people will ever love or hate. There'll be no "Yeah, Home is okay." kind of people. You'll either end up loving it like a child or hating it to death.

Its more of a hassel then it should be...Its suppose to be the answer to XBL, right? just seems terrible.

Im only complaining about it, as I had heard that this was suppose to make the online experience, more enjoyable then XBL, and it just seems like a such a hassele...I like the slick looks of the PS3, and plus it looks nice to my Bravia...

Also, Free does not always mean that you will enjoy it...Just yesterday my Lady and I went to bennigans and We ordered some food, and her Cajum Fet, was undercooked with rubbery noodles, and my hamburger was Charred...and even though they offered to replace it etc, and did not charge us(as we barley ate any of it...Though the fries were delicious). I think you are failing to realise that you don't ever have to step foot in Home to play games , meet people , and communicate with them. There is a hassle there now because in game XMB is not in all the games yet ...... but that is something that they are implementing as well. It may never reach XBL levels of community functionality , but hey ...... that is something that you have to pay for on XBL and not something everyone needs to have on the other end.

If you don't like Home or don't understand it then great , you don't need to use it. It is not for you. Home is not an answer to XBL , Home is not Second Life either. Home is Home.

Home is designed to meet with friends you already have on PSN and to meet new friends if you dont have a lot on PSN. Also, Home is created to help make chatting with your friends more enjoyable. Like for example, what if your friends doesnt have an online game that you have. You cant chat with them and have fun at the same time. But in Home, you can invite your friends to a nice arcade area and chat and play pool, arcade games, bowling,etc. To me, chatting like that is more fun than a little chat box in xbox live.

It just adds to many steps to such si,mple needs, Such as meeting up with friends, chatting...anything basically...If you play it as game, then maybe you will enjoy it...But it wont touch World of Warcraft or the Sims...as it has no point other then hanging out with your friends in a virtual world. Its just a low end sims game...

That's actually a really terrible and suicidal idea. One of the big reasons people don't care for the 360 is because they have to pay for online. I think the idea could turn out to be really great if done correctly. Kind of like a really advanced version of AIM. But we'll never know until we try it for ourselves.

Thats just something that would interest me. Who here pays a subscribtion to this site? or gaming magazine? It could be used similarly those examples...I wouldnt mind making money off people to show them brand new movies, or games etc. I mean some people will pay money for clothes, furniture etc. for this game...And to some they wouldnt mind spending that money to see Insider videos or movies...I just think the premise of this as an AID to PSN is terrible. i disagree. i see great potential is home because maybe in the future you will be able to go to homes theater and watch movies that are in theaters with your friends without having to go to the theater. Also in the home feature video it stated that if you have movies, photos or music on your hard drive meaning also dvds or blueray discs YOU CAN SHARE THEM WITH FRIENDS so lets say you rent a film and your friends from all over the world want to see it they can in home. I think that is revolutionary.

Seeing how achievements are included into a game, and you dont have to acess them seperatley...No...While some dont care about achievements, they dont affect XBL, nor do people claim that it will improve XBL...its just an addition to games...HOME was suppose to improve PSN, and to my understanding it wont.

Well maybe you don't like it, but there are other who do.

Home isn't designed to just be a simple. If you want a buddy list, then just use the buddy list. Home is an attempt to introduce a new medium and method of interaction to consoles, much like second life but on a grander scale. Say for example, you like Call of Duty 4, you could go to the fan area of call of duty 4 and chat to people in there and then, if you find a group of people you like, you can party up with them and jump into a game straight from the COD4 room. And that's just one example of it. Maybe they would create a room for a particular clan that has achieved some noteriety. Then anyone who wants to, can go into that clan's room and look at the wall and see a wallmounted plasma screen with replays of their matches, or note that the decor is designed around that clan's colours.

I'm not saying it's for everyone, but I, for one, am inruiged to see how HOME plays out.

Actually it XBL does, Aegis Shield, Jericho, Sarah Silverman show, and even southpark to name a few...As for PSN, I honestly want it to be better, I like PS3 presentation, and overall look...I am just angry that people claim HOME as an XBL equal...Just seems like a terrible service. Some seem to agree with me...why would you want to sit in a virtual room to chat with people? Its wont even compare to myspace, Facebook, or Xanga...Its just terrible, I just want a better PSN experience...
