DMB are pretty mainstream, although they arent mainstream to the point where they are a bunch of sellouts as well, they still get radio play. I am honestly the most hardcore DMB and Pink Floyd fan anyone will ever meet. I spend countless hours learning their tunes for guitar and I seriously know the lyrics to almost every DMB tune ever written which is scary.

If you like progressive rock and stuff like that for sure, check them out though. Send me a PM and I would gladly direct you to some of their tunes. I have pretty much all of their studio albums plus their live material as well. I highly advise you look into getting copies of Signals, 2112, Fly By Night, Permanent Waves and their self titled debut album, or just get ahold of Chronicles, it has pretty much all of their best songs that you would hear at a concert.

Imo you cant even try to classify the 360 like Pink Floyd, im sorry but they were easily the greatest prog rock band of all time, no one can touch them in terms of quality. Syd's time with the band was short, but seriously, Piper At the Gates of Dawn is just such a weird album, sounds a lot like something the Beatles would do, just with a psychadelic twist. Piper couldnt even compare to Meddle, WYWH, Animals, Darkside of the Moon or The Wall in terms of greatness.
