No Im PCwii. I will be sad but I will continue playing on pcOr keep on supporting Microsoft and/or SONY? Lets see how precious Nintendo is to SW.
Personally, i wouldn't quit gaming, but there will be a void in the whole industry.

LOL, when was the last time that nintendo appealed to gamers!??! It's very clear who the target audience is with their wii!!! So basically for me the answer is NO!

Depends on what your definition of "gamer" is.
lol no, it might occupy my thoughts for a minute.
Imo the old Marios are better, the old Zeldas are better, so whatever.
The memory of Nintendo is better than what they've become. Bread_or_Decide
Well said, it's hard for me to admit as well because I always put Nintendo on a pedestal, like they had a special place in the industry.
I also think that in essence Shigeru Miyamoto IS Nintendo. The more he isn't involved in a game, the game just shares the name of the games he made, but not the character.
New Super Mario Bros games for example is a poor imitation of the old ones, which is sad because I loved those 2D Mario games. Even going as far back as the NES games, they had real character, that defined Nintendo.
No I wouldn't.
I have MS and Sony consoles to fall back on and my iPhone for portable.
I've given up on Nintendo consoles after GC. However, I'd be sad if their handhelds go away. Nintendo handhelds have always delivered.
I bought a Wii and I never use it. The controls just didn't really do it for me. SMG was good, but I think it could've been just as good with a normal controller. The collecting gems thing with the wiimote didn't add any fun or depth for me. WiiU doesn't seam anymore interesting to me with the exception of the new Pikmen. I love Nintendo for portables, but their consoles seem to be more about gimmicks these days then quality games. Even the 3DS is a gimmick. I miss the Nintendo of the old days where games were their main concern and not gimmicks.
Hell no. Fortunately there´s a lot of talented people in the industry and great titles that have nothing to do with Nintendo. While I like them very much, I really don´t feel like it would be that much of a blow for me if their titles were to stop being developed; the company in general though?--handheld market, and their consoles? Sure, that would be somewhat of a blow to the industry.
That said, fortunately, that´s not going to happen anyway. At least not anytime soon.
Please. Take the nostalgia goggles off. The only old 2D Mario game that holds a candle to the NSMB games is Super Mario World, which I'd say is still the best 2D Mario game. Yes, that includes SMB3. Not even close to as good as the NSMB games imo. I'd say it's the most overrated Mario game ever by a mile. It's the Ocarina of time of Mario. It's the Vice City of Mario. It's the Sonic Adventure 2 of Mario. It's the Call of Duty 4 of Mario. It's the....damn I've run out of most overrated games in a series examples. I'll be back when I think of more.New Super Mario Bros games for example is a poor imitation of the old ones, which is sad because I loved those 2D Mario games. Their first party, that's more focused and quality gameplay than most products out there these days, suggest that they have never stopped appealing to gamers. Just that you're either close-minded or blind...
It would be terrible, but at the same time, it would be for the better should that time come. How would it be "for the better?" That time will never come.[QUOTE="YoshiYogurt"]90% of my gaming will be gone. I'll still play my 360 and PC though. Nintendo tends to make some of the best games, so It would be terrible to see them go.nintendoboy16

There's no nostalgia goggles. I'd rather play any of the old Mario games apart from Super Mario Bros 2.
What makes the Wii version worse is that it makes you use the Wiimote when the controller pro would do the job better. I bet if it was on the PC, standard controller would have been the first mod.
Super Mario World is pretty much pure genius though. Also I love Super Mario Bros that won't be bettered by any random platformer, just because they're newer for me.
I also disagree SMB 3 and OoT are overrated. I have the old Marios as GBA games as well, and I play through them still. Yet New Super Mario Bros on the DS and Wii got put down shortly after getting them.
I started and quit Nintendo after Gamecube. And the only reason I got a Gamecube was for Melee. I've never even owned any other Nintendo console.
Or keep on supporting Microsoft and/or SONY? Lets see how precious Nintendo is to SW.

It would be the greatest loss to hit the gaming industry in years. Though I play much more than just nintendo games so of course I would keep gaming.

Their reception has just been plain negative with claims of alienation to third party developers (though that is somewhat true, that criticism is also blown out of line at the same time) and with their consoles starting with N64 (though there were a lot of gamers who still love that system, everywhere else it got flak compared to the PlayStation) and GameCube (which got it even worse with the Wii taking them even lower. Ironically, the former two consoles get defended now). Not to mention having "fans" that rival a former foe in terms of being impossible to please.[QUOTE="YoshiYogurt"]90% of my gaming will be gone. Absolutely not. I'll be upset because of the brilliance they've brought to the industry and to me as a gamer however, I wouldn't quit gaming over it.
Nope, the Pc and 360 indie markets and some of Sony's developers (LBP) are rich enough in innovation that Nintendo has been redundant for a long while now.
Good point I would probably be dead before that happens and if not I would be 101 in the next 75 years.Nintendo has enough money to last them 75 to 100 years. Their not going anywhere!!

The gamcube had PLENTY of games to satisfy me and I'm STILL buying games for it. I'm glad I got it instead of a ps2, nothing interested me after spyro turned to crap. The wii was dissapointing, but I sure as hell enjoyed it. smg 1 +2, smash bros, paper mario(dissapointing actually), metroid prime and other m, nsmb wii, 3ds is well worth the money, so many games coming out for it.
No......Sony and Microsoft are the future and i don't really miss anything from nintendo anymore.Nintendo is already finished.AtariKidX
The future of gaming relies soley in the hands of the hundred of millions Nintendo introduces to gaming
Lol no. I dont give a f*ck about Nintendo or Nintendo games. Most of them are average at best. Critics praise them because "they're nintendo". I bet if a game was exactly the same as Super Mario Galaxy, but didnt had "Mario" in the title it wouldnt have a 96 on meta. I liked SMG mind you, but a 96?! Not in my book... FAR from it
