If PS4 charges for Online will it be a deal breaker for you and cause to jump ship to either Xbox, Wii U or Steam?

Depends on the return. If Sony can have online games like they did this gen and dominate .... then yes I'd have to pay.

Makes no diference to me,I don´t use any of my consoles online.

Nope, Sony is known for making great and fun games so staying with them and not going to bother with the other systems

yep i would jump ship, but i would still get one if their were games that were good but i would put all my focus on pc gaming, but for now my pc/ps3 combo is great

I always look forward to PS3 exclusives, cause they actually exist and continue to be produced. That, in and of itself, counts as the shells for my SW shotgun. ;)

Definitely. The main reason I chose a PS3 over the 360 was the free online and exclusives. If they get rid of that then the only reason I would ever buy their consoles is for a few IPs which might not even be used next gen.

Consoles are kind of a 1 gen deal with me.

I'm not some dumbass who buys a new console every gen.

I might get a PS4 next gen depending if I have time, and if it's interesting.

Not getting xbox next gen.

I already have a PC so I'm set.

I'm not paying for online, period.

I'm also not buying anything that I don't own, that I can't put on a physical media and own it forever, give it to a friend, etc.

That's basically me.

Next gen I will probably Linux game.

Probably not as I wouldn't havea choice, doesn't mean I would defend the practice though like Lems do. Actually I would still get a PS4 for SP games, and just upgrade my PC for MP games, if that were the case.

Charging for online P2P is a rip off, early gen you could kinda excuse it as XBL was really the only good onlin console service, however it's 2012 today, not 2007, and PSN has come a LONG way and does (just about) EVERYTHING XBL does but for FREE.

And you also take into account Steam which is FREE and is better than both the two services, and you clearly see that anyone who is still defending the XBL fee is an idiot.

Not tyring to be a fanboy but it is the truth, there is zero reason for MS to charge for online gameplay, zero. You cannot defend the fee anymore in this day and age, the competition has improved and is at the same level now, and considering that the compeition is FREE it makes it better.

I own a 360.I'm used to this sh!t.

But like hell,I'm paying for 2 subscriptions.

na it depends on exclusives, if microsoft keeps getting 1 or 2 decent exclusives a year and they keep going the soccer mom games and kinect crap ps4 is a sure buy for me and won't eve look back at the new xbox, i can see it now, yearly release of halo and gears of war, and thats it.

PS4............I regrete getting a PS3.I really don't care if Sony charges for online for there PS4,I will not be buying it.The PS3 was a waste of money.In my opinion.

Nope. I don't play online so it would have very little affect on me. With one minor exception. There could be no online trophies for any games that count towards plats. I know they mean nothing in the scheme of things, but they add massive replay value to me knowing that if I play the game multiple times I'll get rewarded. Right now, I have one Plat, I could have up to 5 by now if I played online. If they charge for online they might as well take away the trophy system too.
