If PS4 charges for Online will you jump ship?

I doubt I'll be getting the PS4 unless someone gives it to me for free. I've moved to the Xbox. Much better.

I actually wouldn't mind seeing Sony charge for PSN, so that the PSN can stop losing money each year. It hurts Sony to not charge, and given their situation they probably should in order to guarantee a bit more success in the future.

I don't think that would cause me to jump ship though. I already rarely play my PS3 as is as the exclusives are quite lackluster, so I probably won't buy a PS4 for that reason (at least not right away).

I will still keep my eyes on the Vita though.

It's not about money. For this gen, atleast, Sony supports PSN in a lot more countries than MS does with XBL, if you could actually use XBL and pay with a credit card in here, I would definitely buy an xbox. And they should both add amex support.

Well, I imagine one would want a like experience to the one they already enjoy, and the Xbox is, at least this gen, the closest thing to a ps3 you can get. The Wii is completely different. PC has a lot of the same games and same types of games, but as a console gamer I find playing on PC to be quite unenjoyable for some reason.

One thing I don't understand is this idea that Sony would be pressured to charge for online. It's a damn fine bullet point for them to have that PSN is free. I would think the pressure would be more on MS to make it free at this point. They have the 360 owners this gen already, but they are going to have a hard time selling that fee again next gen if they are still the only ones charging.

To me, im not a sony fan cuz of the free online. I've been a Sony Playstation fan since PS1 cuz of the franchises they offer and that hasn't changed with PS2 and PS3 and i don't see it changing with PS4....So yea next gen my primary gaming will be PC and console will be PS4

Depends. I wouldn't be happy about it but I don't see the Wii-U or next Xbox offering me anything I want over the PS4, so it's unlikely that I'd jump ship.

I think I would, I would hate to leave all my games, but because all my friends play Xbox, I wouldn't probably get that if I have to pay for online anyways.

The reason I bought a PS3 in the first place was so I could play online for free.

Then in this case I would jump ship. Unless SONY can pull off something amazing with PSN to consider charging for it, like make it equally as good or better than Xbox Live. In my case it would be either or. I'm not down with PC gaming and I don't own Nintendo consoles and the WiiU doesn't seem to differ from that.

Depends on the return. If Sony can have online games like they did this gen and dominate .... then yes I'd have to pay.
