You really think Nintendo fans care about hardware? Really?charizard1605
I would say I do, but I guess I am not really a Nintendo fan anymore :P. Â I am still a fan of some games, but not of Nintendo.

I lol'd. Why have you gone full blown troll?[QUOTE="Chutebox"][QUOTE="RR360DD"]Quantum Break is the best looking game at the minute. Its all about the devs, not meaningless specs :cool:Sonysexual1
Probably to save face. Lots of lemmings were ass hurt by the amount of ownage SONY caused.
lol at using user scores in your sig, user scores are so open to abuse it's not even funny.[QUOTE="Antwan3K"]
in the context of your argument, i totally agree.. Once all the dust settles and we have the consoles in our hands, multiplatform games will look virtually identical, platform exclusives will play to the strengths of their respective system and any major differences will likely be very subjective, and the primary differences will fall upon the UI of the consoles themselves and the content/features of their respective online multiplayer ecosystems (PSN vs XBL)..
face it guys, multiplatform games play to the lowest common denominator (for obvious business reasons) and a vast majority of games these days are multiplatform.. So at the end of the day, games like Battlefield 4, MGS5, Final Fantasy XV, Destiny, and more will be developed with the weaker console in mind.. not vice-versa.. why would developers intentionally and openly deliver an "inferior" version of their game to roughly 50% of their potential buyers when both consoles are so even matched in terms of specs?.. it makes no logical sense and (just like last gen) simply wont happen..

The PS4 being 50% stronger with an easier architecture to harness is far, FAR from "even matched", you're just making a joke out of yourself now.
Oh and they absolutely WILL deliver inferior versions for XBONE because it's trivial to bump up effects or resolution for the PS4 or have it maintain a higher/more consistent framerate. They would be fools not to do so as other developers will and failing to do that would make their offerings look worse by comparison.
history and business logic disagree with you sir.. multiplatform games will likely be virtually identical on both consoles.. anything is possible tho, but Battlefield 4 looking "50% stronger" on PS4 is highly unlikely..
exclusive titles may be a different story, but even with that, which PS4 exclusive looks 50% better than a comparible Xbox One exclusive?.. i didnt see any..
You really think Nintendo fans care about hardware? Really?charizard1605No wonder they're stuck with last gen hardware and mariozeldarehashes.

Nintendo fans should care.. If i could get the latest 3rd party titles AND Nintendo 1st party titles on one console, its a win.. Nintendo's underpowered hardware is to blame, plain and simple..
If the Wii U had the same hardware specs as the PS4 and/or XB1, not only would we be seeing amazing new versions of Mario, Zelda, and Metroid, but those games would be sitting on the shelf right next to MGS5, Battlefield 4, The Division, Destiny, Final Fantasy XV, and more.. as a gamer, i'd would HAVE to buy their console and if they beefed up their online community/ecosystem to the level of XBL/PSN, i would probably have little reason to buy a PS4 or XB1 for that matter.. many gamers would agree..
Nintendo fans may not care but they should.. Next gen, Nintendo needs to make a console with specs equal to the competiton or they need to just get out of the console business and just make software for Sony's and Micorsoft's systems.. enough is enough

In theory, that would be great, but in practice, it doesn't work that way. The GameCube was a powerful console in its time, quite easily on par with the Xbox, so what went wrong there? Nintendo's relative failures with powerful consoles like the N64 and GameCube, both of which lost out to the much weaker PS1 and PS2, is exactly why Nintendo went for a low-power approach with the Wii, and the Wii's huge success only confirmed to Nintendo that their new low-power strategy is better for them. Unless there comes a time when the most powerful console does win a console war, which has never happened in the past (though one can only hope that the PS4 becomes the first to do so), only then would Nintendo be convinced that the high-power approach would be better.

you're forgetting one major factor sir, the Gamecube fell victim to the PS2 for the same reason that the original Xbox did: 3rd party exclusives. the PS2 had the lion's share of 3rd party exclusives.. but those days are over and we are now living in the era of AAA multiplatform games. So yea, i understand why Nintendo decided to go low-power with the Wii and concentrated on innovation rather than horsepower for that generation.. and from a commecial standpoint it worked.. where they went wrong was thinking that lightning was going to strike twice.. they caught Sony and Microsoft with their pants down with motion control and the pricepoint of the console was perfect.. But now both competitors have arguably equal (PS Eye/Move) or better (Kinect 2.0) motion control solutions.. so whats next?.. second screen?.. Sony was already showing second screeen potential with the Vita and Microsoft was unveiling Smartglass, so surely they didnt think they were going suprise those guys again with second screen functionality.. Now PS4 players can play their PS4 game remotely with a PS Vita and many of the asynchronous gameplay features the Wii U is touting can be done with an XB1 and the tablet or phone you already own via Smartglass.. and the price point?.. $349 Wii U vs $399 PS4?.. again, how can anyone have not seen this writing on the wall..
beyond that, the biggest change from then to now is that 3rd party developers are making their biggest games for all consoles now, not just for one particular console like the PS2.. the days when you could only find MGS, FF, RE, GTA, and more only on one console are done.. the lastest and greatest from Konami, Capcom, EA, Ubisoft, Activision, and more can be found on all of the lead systems (PS4/XB1/PC).. 1st party exclusive content is what sets you apart now and 1st party is where Nintendo would absolutely shine.. unfortunately, if your console doesnt have the horsepower to support those hot new 3rd party games, then you are getting left out in the cold while 3rd parties put all their high powered games on PS4 and XB1.. which is exactly whats happening right now.. and now you're stuck with just 1st party offerings which are arguable being hampered by a need to push what most hardcore gamers view as "gimmicky" motion controls and second screen usage rather than putting a Zelda game out that only uses a conventional controller and runs on hardware equal to the competiton..
Nintendo bet on low-power and "innovation" again but it's not panning out if current trends can be used as a measure.. they need to wake up and change their strategy by getting nose-to-nose with the Sony and Microsoft again in terms of hardware specs. if not, please just make software..
