All of that is good news but there is still plenty of room for PlayStation in the console market. Especially considering that any Xbox console will always be DOA in Japan..

Don't forget, competition is a good thing.. The PS4 was a direct result of the butt-kicking the 360 put on the PS3 last gen.. A unified Windows Store across PC and Xbox One was possibly a direct result of the current butt-kicking the PS4 is putting on the XB1.. Maybe the NX will force both companies to up their game in regardes to whatever Nintendo's latest strategy is..

I have a PC that's maybe 4 years old and it's considerably faster than a PS4. Just for the record I have an i7 3770K @4.2Ghz, 24 GB RAM, 128 GB SSD, 4 TB HD and a Radeon HD 280X 3GB GPU. For a display I have a Dell UltraSharp U3415W 34-Inch Curved LED-Lit Monitor.

So let me get this straight, if a hardcore Xbox One gamer wants to upgrade his Xbox to keep up with pretty graphics, fps, resolution etc. He will have to buy newer versions of Xbox Ones like eg. Xbox One 2017version, Xbox One 2018version and so forth, holy smokes, he will end up having 10 XboxOnes.

By the way pricing is something else MS need to be taking into account if they plan on releasing Xbox One games on PC, especially digitally. I know I refuse to pay the same for a digital game as a physical copy.

If MS spruce up their Xbox app on Windows to have full controller support and to behave identical to the Xbox, I will see the validity;if price is not a factor; to owning a gaming PC over the Xbox One.

It's hard to strike a deathblow when the xbox one's only sword is made of tissue paper and the xbox one is already bleeding out in a gutter in bangkok.

MS have already tried to make Windows look and act like the Xbox UI. The result was Windows 8. Metro was so unpopular the 8.1 patch hid it behind an actual desktop, even then it didn't help with uptake of one of the most unpopular Windows to date. It's shame in a way because at its core it's a really good O/S
