System wars really attracts special individuals and I don't mean that in good way.
First, buy pc version it's cheaper than buying X1 version.
Second, what deathblow X1 is getting it's ass handed to it.

Even if this was true and u had a pc powerful enough to run xbone games (a toaster lol) then why even buy a xbone or an xbone version? M$ already shot themselves in the foot so violently that they destroyed their chance at beating ps4 at anything
Looking atboth libraries. Let me get this straight: I buy a piece of shit for ps4, but if I buy a piece of shit for Xbox One I get a second piece of shit, free of charge?
Well actually what Spencer said wasn't about Xbone getting a singular component hardware update but whatever Xbox there's gonna be next, they'll eschew traditional generational delineation and their consoles will use the same architecture from then on.
Yes, If I understood correctly it's going to be similar to an ipad that is upgraded but still runs all the games. The next X1 will have much better hardware but you can play all the older X1 games with better fps and res and so on.
Also, the current X1 can play future games that will take advantage of the upgraded box but it will have to run them at lower res and fps.
FInally, if you buy an X1 multiplat game, you get the PC version as well with it. All of that equals the end of Playstation.
All of that is good news but there is still plenty of room for PlayStation in the console market. Especially considering that any Xbox console will always be DOA in Japan..
Don't forget, competition is a good thing.. The PS4 was a direct result of the butt-kicking the 360 put on the PS3 last gen.. A unified Windows Store across PC and Xbox One was possibly a direct result of the current butt-kicking the PS4 is putting on the XB1.. Maybe the NX will force both companies to up their game in regardes to whatever Nintendo's latest strategy is..
I simply don't understand how people can take joy at the idea of another console dying.. Monopolies are not what you want sir..
When you buy an X1 multiplat, you get the PC version for free! Now think about this for a second. You get the superior PC version for free that will have the top end graphics, mods and so on. You also get the X1 version that you can play on your X1 and also this version will be UPGRADED(fps, resolution etc) for the upcoming X1 console upgrade.
Or you can buy the PS4 version with it's 1.8 GIGAWATS OF POWA!!!!!! And then you get to rebuy it as "remastered" for $60 on PS5, LMFAO!!!
It's over, bring the shovel!
It's not going to be an upgrade in a form of an add-on. Just future revisions will be more powerful like IPADS.
You only get the superior PC version for free if your PC is faster then PS4...... And A LOT of PC's aren't...

I have a PC that's maybe 4 years old and it's considerably faster than a PS4. Just for the record I have an i7 3770K @4.2Ghz, 24 GB RAM, 128 GB SSD, 4 TB HD and a Radeon HD 280X 3GB GPU. For a display I have a Dell UltraSharp U3415W 34-Inch Curved LED-Lit Monitor.

You have all that and yet your here defending a potato?
Your telling porkies aren't you? You got a bone for Christmas off your parents didn't you?
You would have preferred a PS4 wouldn't you. Your parents disappointed you didn't they?

Brilliant strategy, for gamers by gamers and all that jazz.
Aren't retail Xbox One games more expensive than PC?
Why would a PC gamer ever buy a version of the game they are never going to play?
I was thinking the same thing.
Because if you buy the X1 version, it will be almost identical to the PS4 version. But in the future if you buy the Xbox Next, that same game will work on it only look and run a lot better.
By magic, right? Stop repeating that nonsense and go and educate yourself. You make yourself look like a fool. Does a Wii game magically look better when you put it in a Wii U? Do 360 games run better on the XBox One? Hint: no, they don't.
So let me get this straight, if a hardcore Xbox One gamer wants to upgrade his Xbox to keep up with pretty graphics, fps, resolution etc. He will have to buy newer versions of Xbox Ones like eg. Xbox One 2017version, Xbox One 2018version and so forth, holy smokes, he will end up having 10 XboxOnes.
Just buy a pc.
If you have a gaming PC wouldn't you just get it on PC rather than pay more for a lesser version?
By the way pricing is something else MS need to be taking into account if they plan on releasing Xbox One games on PC, especially digitally. I know I refuse to pay the same for a digital game as a physical copy.

If MS spruce up their Xbox app on Windows to have full controller support and to behave identical to the Xbox, I will see the validity;if price is not a factor; to owning a gaming PC over the Xbox One.

I think I just threw up a little at that thought! Honestly, that would be the worst idea MS ever came up with if they want to sell games on PC.
Why would you want to play the same game on two different systems you own. Seems pretty dumb. If you bothered to build a good PC why would you also play the same multiplat on your Xbox?
...and I don't think you can kill the PS4 considering how many have already sold.
Why would anybody play the XB1 version?
Because if you buy the X1 version, it will be almost identical to the PS4 version. But in the future if you buy the Xbox Next, that same game will work on it only look and run a lot better. Also, when you buy the X1 version, you get the PC version which is the ultimate version for free.
The question is, why would anyone buy the PS4 version?
Then buy the PC version if that's a selling a point. Why waste money on the Box?
Then it ceases to be a console. People will just buy the tried and true static hardware, and Playstation will always be the most popular in that scene.
How would it cease to be a console?
Because it's not static hardware anymore.

Well they want a closed system?
It's hard to strike a deathblow when the xbox one's only sword is made of tissue paper and the xbox one is already bleeding out in a gutter in bangkok.

MS have already tried to make Windows look and act like the Xbox UI. The result was Windows 8. Metro was so unpopular the 8.1 patch hid it behind an actual desktop, even then it didn't help with uptake of one of the most unpopular Windows to date. It's shame in a way because at its core it's a really good O/S
