Soooo... if most console gamers don't want to game on PC, doesn't that make bundling a free copy of the PC version kind of pointless? o.o 'Here's a free copy of the game for the platform you probably won't bother owning anyway!' The entire exercise comes off as a little silly if Microsoft doesn't think it has a chance of eventually swaying a person here or there to toddle on over to PC.

Well, to be super specific, swaying a person here or there to toddle on over to the Windows Store. Given currently Steam is just all manner of superior in terms of functionality, feature set, etc, etc, Microsoft would want to try and get in on the ground floor for 'PC Newbies' who might be making the leap over from consoles, before they get snatched up by their more established competitors. Not only would the relative lack of aforementioned features and benefits not bother a gamer accustomed to a console ecosystem quite as much, but they'd also have their free copy of Quantum Break and whatever other Xbox One cross-platform freebies they've accrued! Boosts the chances of them actually relying on the Windows Store for their purchases to any particular degree, rather than just claiming their copy of Quantum Break while waiting for the Steam client to download.

Of course, how effective that (or even having their games exclusive to Windows Store) will ever be in pushing their storefront above their competitors is another matter entirely. My current bet is 'not very,' as I think Microsoft will actually have to try and make a BETTER storefront if they want to get ahead, but it remains to be seen. =P

um no ms aint taking out anyone ,, they haven't even lead a single gen , in sales what world are we on exactly ,,

and xbox is not upgradeable you cant open the box your self it voids the warrantee how exactly would you be able to upgrade your current xbox . lol

if they do any upgrading it be like what Nintendo did with the new 3ds , but it would cost more then 200 that's for sure,

and xbox one has a hard time selling at 350 , much let alone 500 again ,
