Xbox 360 - $400 (free shipping, no tax) from Dell - comes with 13 month LIVE card plus the 1 month free that comes with the 360. Bought GeoW for $40 from Target and GRAW for $20 from Best Buy. Plan to spend $20 on the Play-N-Charge kit. So for $500 + $6.50 tax, aka $506.50 (total cost, tax, shipping, everything) I'm going to have:
-Xbox 360 with 20gb HDD
-Component cables and ethernet cables
-Controller w/play-n-charge kit
-Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter
-Gears of War
-14 months Xbox Live: Gold
total: $506.50
A PS3 20gb unit from the store would cost me $532.50... and I would still need to spend another $10 ~ $15 on an HDMI cable and $5 on an ethernet cable to hook it up. For that price difference I could easily get another 13 month LIVE card off of Amazon.com, meaning I would have a 360 Premium with 2 games, play-n-charge kit, and 27 months (2 years, 3 months) of LIVE for the price of a PS3 20gb. How am I not coming out ahead?
Considering the games I most want to play this generation are exclusive to the Xbox 360, it makes even less sense for me to endorse the PS3.
