PSN's fault. Doesn't add logevity to games. Cancelled my SOCOM preorder yesterday and the Gamestop employee wasn't too happy.

I bought the MGS 4 bundle. I beat MGS 4, which was probably one of the best games I have ever played. But now, I find my PS3 sitting, while my 360 gets all the play time (I bought all the multi-platform games such as GTA IV, Oblivion and COD 4 before I got the PS3). I have played Ratchet and Clank, Lair and Resistance, but none of them really compel me to beat them. It is a good thing the PS3 is also a Blu-Ray player though. At least with that I don't feel like I wasted my money.

I have a PS3 and hate MGS4. I hardly play my PS3. So i guess for me its a no, no point at all. Although its a good blue-ray player.

Whenever i go to my local game shop, usually once a week, i always look at the PS3 section 1st. There just arn't any quality games imo. I already have MGS4 (hated it), i have GTA4 (big letdown) and most other major titles, uncharted etc. Its selection for someone like me, a person who loses interest in games very fast, is very very limited.

Guess its why i remain a PC gamer, more choice of great games and mods keep me hooked longer.

Testing servers is great! I expected lag, no prob. What about the shoddy graphics/textures? What about the sluggish menus? No party system. Push to talk. A pain to gather friends to play games and move from match to match. Not one beef of mine has anything to do with teh servers and aren't likely to be fixed in a month. BTW, every beta I have played has been indicative of the final product. Destined fail. Also you give the typical cow response with GOW. Wait till next year. Gimme a break.

I just finished Guns of the Patriots. Brilliant game. One of the best ever. After screwing around with some other PS3 exclusives, I noticed a distinct lack of fun. Seriously, ATM the PS3 only has a few decent exclusives, all mostly linear shooters and boring racers. I think the PS3 is an excellent machine, but after borrowing a friend's for a while while he's on vacation so I can finish MGS4, is there any reason to buy one?noswear

If you have any knowledge of the Socom series, it had some of the best online support, both community and devoloper wise. Anything like it, it will be on top. This why Sony should put Socom their piority in multiplayer.

Graphics? It is Socom...and it is Slant Six, not Zipper...what did you expect?

Wait, you admit the graphics aren't great, that there ARE problems with sluggish menus, lacking features of previous games in the series, proxy chat problems, and crappy party system...yet the game will be "damn good." That is some pretty strong faith you've got there.

it depends... I have all 3 systems, and they all have there good points. The PS3 has the best multimedia capabilities, and unlike wut most people say the online isnt bad at all, i prefer it over 360 due to privacy(hate trophies though) My game preferences are different from average gamers but heres wut Id recomend(in no order) 1. Soul Caliber 4 (great fighting game, id get this on ps3 cuz of d-pad) 2. Devil May Cry 4(great action game, but its not worth 60 for most people) 3.Oblivion(while i prefer my 360 version 2 my ps3 copy, this game is a must play with 100s of hours of game time 4. Armored Core for answer(I imported but it comes out in like a week. Great customization, addicting gameplay, id recomend ps3 version 5. Disgaea 3(Hilarious rpg with about 100 hours of game time)unknown37

I haven't turned on my PS3 in weeks. There's no new games for it that I want to buy, I buy multiplats for my 360, and I stopped buying blu ray movies.

Hopefully by next month, it'll get plenty of play time, but I'm not holding my breath.

edit: also I noticed your PSN gamercard thing and I was wondering how are you a level 4 but have no trophies yet? just wondering, I want my level up too.
