Why? So MS fanboys can gloat because more people get their multiplats on the 360?
Threads like these fail a priori, because 95% of the people posting in this board already know what the answer to the question at hand is going to be for most people that really own both consoles. It's a fact that 360 more often than not has the superior multiplats. It's annoying that some people want to have this reconfirmed over and over again. It's also a fact that this is due to lazy/bad devs.

I doubt you even have an Xbox. The question was to people with both systems, not just one. Xbox Live is much better than the PSN, it all seems easier to me.
That is your opinion. I think it is logical to go with free online service.
It all depends,my son and I both have a 360 (2) and I have a PS3 and if we both like same game I will get it for the 360 if not the PS3 but usually he doesn't like the same games that I do. Also I have only had the ps3 since this March and I have had my 360 for 2 years so I've been buying most of my games right now on the ps3.

Not really, but whatever.Games that are decisively better on one system from the other I get on the better versioned machine (as with Orange Box)...But mostly I like keeping all my multiplats on my preferred machine (which in this case is PS3).... So whilst I own 5 360 titles, I have over 30 PS3 games. So basically games like Orange Box that I bought on my non preffered system, I finish A.S.A.P. and sell to make way for another game.
Makes more sense to me to get a bigger collection going on the system I enjoy more...I enjoy Sony's exclusives most, so because I buy so many of them, I see fit to keep up that systems collection. I buy games like L4D on 360.....And now have taken it upon myself to wait for 360 games I want to get cheap, as it makes no sense to buy them full price, as with so many PS3 games to play through, I am in no rush for most of them....Unless something unbelievable prevails...I still haven't got Gears 2 yet...I bought Gears1 as a classic.
360, because its cheaper... If the games are the same why pay extra??? Whe even have 2 consoles on the market???
Though if it was how it is now, then its the PS3

I think it's logical to go with the one that has cross game chat incase it's single player. :| Not to meantion the online wont be dead in a week on Live like it is on PSN.
I buy for the 360 for the superior experiance.
Xbox360 for these reasons:
The only multiplat I got for PS3 was SFIV...and only because I didn't want to spend $40 on a gamepad for the X360.
this. plus multiplats are usually better on 360 anyways, for example the ones i own (ghostbusters, fallout 3, gta4)[QUOTE="calvinsora"]

Alright, who let the fanboy in?
I'm definitly not a fanboy considering all I have been playing lately is Killzone2, look me up REA24409. I am just saying, I own both systems but overall Xbox Live is a better online setup, any person with the PS3 and an Xbox knows that. I'm not saying the PSN is bad, but Xbox Live is just hard to beat. You are the one who clearly owns just one system.
As much as I love my PS3(and I really love it), XBL is much better than the PSN. I own both and it's obvious. But all that Sony needs to do is integrate cross in-game voice chat and a party system to match XBL, for me at least. Both of those features are the reason I use XBL more than PSN.

the online is never dead in a week for any PS3 game, stop exaggerating.I look at reviews and graphics comparisons to see which version is better, and check out exclusive DLC(usually 360 for both). I do factor in the free online if the game has multiplayer, and the fact that I can play the 360 more than the PS3 since the PS3 is in the living room and someone is usually watching TV.
I also prefer the PS3 D Pad for shooters and racing games and the 360 analog for shooters.
Unless it's a glaringly better version of an off line game I get it for PS3 since PSN is free and I'm scared of getting RROD. I play the 360 more for exclusives.
That doesn't make sense at all. When I play a game (especially single player) then I want to concentrate on the game and not chat about nonsense. Do you also feel the urge to talk to other people while you're watching a movie or something? Anyway, I buy multiplayer games for my PS3 because I don't like to pay twice for my internet connection. For my 360 I buy games with exclusive DLC or on very rare occasions when the PS3 version doesn't have trophies.I think it's logical to go with the one that has cross game chat incase it's single player. :|
CreepyBacon
360 for all multiplats (with the below exclusions) for better online play, better controller for most genres and achievements.
PS3 for Fighting games for the D-Pad and if there ever was a game that performed much better on the PS3 then 360 I would go PS3.
Why, do dedicated servers scare you or something? They are unequivocally superior to P2P, if you'd buy even a single Sony-published online game you'd understand that and drop Xbox Live like a bad habit.360 i only buy Exclusive Single Player games for my PS3.

Dedi servers are great until they stop supporting the game and go away then you can't play them online anymore. Like I've said many of times, I can still go and play Crimson Skies online if I want (came out in '03 I think) or any other XBL game that has ever come out. EXCEPT certain EA games because they stopped supporting them years ago. And as an owner of both systems I can tell you XBL > PSN by a good bit still.360 i only buy Exclusive Single Player games for my PS3.

What I said is what I mean. Its up to the develpors how long your game will be online. On Xbox the games are gtg for online play for pretty much forever. Also XBL is just better then PSN. The way you add friends, universal friends list for all games, party support, unversial mute/ignore list, etc etc. PSN is like XBL lite. and they said more then 10 years if the demand is there.
and also, just this week sony said psn will have those features soon.

Trust me, You'll be surprised by the results and it wouldn't be MS fanboys...weather you think it or not. Regarudless, this isn't new to anyone. Everyone knows that the PS3 suffers from lower quailty version of mutiplats. If you get past all the fanboy babble, there can be some really interesting responses to this. I do'nt buy a lot of multiplats as a rule, but I've found my multiplat purchases to be fairly evenly mixed since adding my PS3.
Reasons I'll buy a 360 multiplat: If it is technically superior. If it is cheaper. (360 games tend to drop in price quicker than PS3 games)
Reasons I'll buy a PS3 multiplat: Free online (I'll admit, I still don't game online, although I do have my PS3 set up for it, but it is something to consider. And no, it's not the XBL fee that keeps me away, it's the $100 wireless adapter.) Hardware reliability (Again, not a fanboy comment, just something I do find myself worried about)
Sometimes I just want to play my ps3, or my 360, or my PC, just.... I don't know, because. I love Fallout 3 and I own both the PC versions and 360 version because sometimes I just want my mouse and keys and sometimes I just want to sink into my couch. I love all my systems and look for reasons to play them. I share the love.

A. All my friends own 360's, but even then id still go for the 360 version because of the superior xbox live intergration. I cant stand the DS3 controller either for FPS.
