That's about right. Reach, Alan Wake is enough to justify the 360's awesomeness. Now, I really need stop going to my friends' houses to play these games and get my own....
I would've thought the Wii won, personally, given the number of exclusives it had (4 or 5 great, great titles), but it lacked solid multiplats iike RDR, Bayonnetta, Vainquish or SSFIV. All in all, a decent choice, even if it wouldn't have been mine.

It said the three main factors where the three decent or better full game exclusives it had, good Xbox live games (while showing some clips of game available on PSN), and Kinect/Dance Central.
Sounds just like a SW poster, counting up games from the spreadsheet and pretending anything below 9 isn't worth playing.
To me the 360 didn't perform any better than the PS3, and in fact I think the PS3 beat it out by a tad. Whereas the Wii had a better year than both of them.

From a completely non biased against Kinect standpoint, I can see how someone would award the 360 over PS3. But otherwise, to me, it's kinda a wash for 2010. I care nothing about Kinect's software line up atm.... buuuuuuut.... yeah.
It's nice to see the 360 had a good year, especially since I own one. In reality though why really care and rate who does better what year and how many good games are on this console compared to another console. In the end they are all just consoles made to do one thing; play games. Which all three do well, and I guess I just don't see the reason to go back and forth arguing which one is better when they all do what they are built to do.
Well, it was the XBox 360's best year yet so I could see why IGN would feel that way. Now, if only they delivered on the retail exclusive front like the Wii did.

Are you talking about GT? Kinect with Dance Central (one game) doesn't sound like "a lot" in comparison to the other two factors. I'm basing that off of what I saw in the video. Simple as that.

Limbo and Alan Wake are the only other 2 I can think of that seem like they'd be good. Everything else was on other platforms, so they shouldn't count towards the 360 for being system of the year.

Double Oh. Multiplatform games are irrelevant now, including all the titles on XBLA, I presume? :)
I don't think there was one console that really dominated this year; Each system whether it's PC, PS3, Wii or 360 had a terrific year in terms of software and sales.

On other platforms =/= on every other platform. RDR/Vanquish/Bayonetta were not on PC, Conviction/ME2/Super Meat Bpy were not on the PS3, and many weren't on the Wii.Arrr, logic. It hurts the head. :(

You don't need to throw an insult around to get the point across, mate.
For me, it was at the bottom this year. The exclusives just weren't my thing. Still, I think it was close this year so the decision is far from undeserved.
