IGN: Console of the year is .........

Coming from ign this outcome isn't at all shocking but expected.

360 had a good year :P Reach,slim launch,ME2,Kinect (was probably the biggest peripheral launch ever).

In terms of memory most people will remember what the 360 had this year.When you think bout it all PS3 has really had in terms of high profile is GT5.

Fair enough for the 360 but for me the Wii won 2010, DKCR alone warrants it. Never mind SMG2, KEY etc..

Then Exclusives

360 owns

Id give that title to the Wii. I suppose it depends on what games a person like, after all this is all opinion.

Wii had great exclusives but missed out on A LOT of multiplats. I know you children think multiplats are the devil and shouldn't even be touched with a 5,000 mile/kilometer pole, but in the real world multiplats do matter.

Wii will never win an award because it misses out on multiplats. Yes exclusives matter but when it comes to SOFTWARE LINEUP, so do multiplats. PC missed out on Red Dead Redemption (if you don't like it, cool. It has a 94 or something on MC and every reviewer in the world seems to think it's the greatest game ever so its a big factor) Vanquish, Bayonetta, SSFIV, Alan Wake, etc. and Wii missed out on those same games plus more.

Personally I though PC won. However, just because it didn't win I'm not going to cry about because it's perfectly understandable why 360 won.

I agree, I've had a great year with my 360. I've played it way more than the other consoles. Of course ME2 was a big chunk of that. :D

Not to mention the new Slim is beautiful, that alone should have caused the 360 to be console of the year.

I wish they did system of the year instead of console by the year I think console wise Wii>360>PS3, but the 360 did have RDR, ME2, Bayonetta, along with its exclusives so I can see why

But the PC had one hell of a year, I hate it when people neglect it

There is a reason why in every store you go in that consoles are in one area and pcs are in another. They are not the same thing, no matter if a pc can play games or not, they are not considered the same thing and no matter if they are here in GS or not...they are not..

The heal on my wifes shoe can double as a hammer...BUT you wont find shoes in the tool dept at your local hardware store. PC gaming is still a driving force in the gaming world, but its not what classic gamers run to to play games..sorry, but its true.

And the PC wasn't included...why?

i stopped watching their videos after bc2 review, they really do fail hard

i think its kind of hard to take them serioulsy since its right link to the 360 page for some odd reason. though its only a matter of an opinion anyways the most improve games have been on 360 and wii. rcafan

The wii should have won.. The 360 only had like 2 worth while exclusives all year. But I didn't expect that to happen seeing as how everyone at that site hates the wii so oh well

IGN must be biased too... or maybe, just maybe, 360 did have the best year this year when you consider the entire software lineup (not just exclusives). themyth01
