Notice how IGN is pretty inline with most other reviews, infact, they're closer to the average (being 4), then Gamespot is. Maybe you should all get of your fanboy high horses and do some research before you complain when a publication reviews a bad game badly.
From the look of that little vid they had in the review text, it deserves it, the framerate is horrible, the combat looks annoying and it doesnt look great. I'm kinda glad i knew nothing about this game before now. :D

In this case they're in line with the majority., but IGN are one of the poorer review sites for game, all the same.
well if nothing else it still has a shot at a 9 or 10 from Play magazine. you could hand those guys a box of rocks and it would get a 7.
also depending on how many copies of the game get delivered to gamestop Game Informer could give it a good score since they use GI to promote games they invest heavily in the inventory of the retail locations.

actualy, thier reviews are fairly inline with gamespots... and I'd say gamespot is less reliable then IGN.

EDIT: If other reviewers had, for whatever reason given ita 7, would IGN have given it a 2?. It does bug me though that the release of a bad game is the only time the full scale is used.

On topic: Wow. I didn't think this game would be great or anything but it's below mediocre.... a 2.5??

More than likely yes I was playing....Not very good at TF2, but it's great fun when I don't want to really don't feel like playing a story heavy game. Personally I never though NB looked good. I never understood what people saw it.
I think that's a bit harsh but not far from the truth. I actually rented this game and I think there's a few things worth noting. Frame rate and clipping issues are beyond horrible sometimes. The controls are really clunky, especially for the camera. Beyond everything though, the AI is really awkward. Bears attempt to interact with events or objects are they discover them but sometimes they just don't, for whatever reason. Sometimes that's really frustrating considering some of the challenges. That makes unlocking episodes, challenges, and rewards equally frustrating.
It's still fun though. I've put a few hours into it already and I like hunting bears down and killing them differently. It's repetitive but it's a nice time waster. Getting combos up is fun and there's some sick joy in turning all the bears insane or crippling them before you end their lives. I hope they consider dropping the price down dramatically because I may even buy it. It just seemed doomed as a disc release at such a high price.
