So according to this list, PS3 and Wii each have 3 exclusives in the Top 20, while the 360 has 0. Halo 4 is also the best exclusive on 360, which is pretty funny.

The full list, for those that care. I don't necessarily agree with a lot of what is on here, but I do agree with their top 20 picks (even if the individual placement of a lot of games bugs me); on the whole, I'd say that the top 20 games they picked are games that best represented last generation.

How is Uncharted 2 not in the top 5? And wtf Skyrim? That buggy piece of shit game gets recognized as a top 5 over an 8 year span? Lol.

I found Fallout 3 to be incredibly meh and forgettable. And also SMG2 > SMG

Lol, joke list. Top ten is literally shit with a few good games mixed in. ME2 is objectively a top 5 game. ME 1 in the top 20 is a laugher, game straight up sucks.

Portal 2 is my own personal number 1, nothing imo comes close to a perfectly balanced game, the story, humor, voice acting, length, game engine, puzzles, use of goo, multiplayer, user created maps that make the game last forever, having to make use of the voip in game in co-op to pass puzzles (teamwork required). And to top it all off anyone with steam can pick the game up for a few dollars if not free.

I'm glad tlou isn't #1.I can't get into naughty dog games I'll take MGS, Souls,Gears and god of War,elder scrolls and monster hunter for tps perspective any day

It's pretty hilarious. SMG is a great game. Can't see how anyone could be disappointed by this choice. I wish Nintendo would get more stellar games like this onto the Wii U.

Mercenary Kings, Outlast, Planetside 2 and Don't Starve came out on the PC first. So they would be PC exclusive. Moto GP 14 isn't even out yet. So no. They aren't PS4 exclusives.

I played through 68 of these titles, probably about another 200+ more. I don't think there's a way to have a list like this and not upset people, there were a lot of great games last gen.

SMG was amazing, however SMG2 was perfect. Aside from that, the list is reasonable. Portal 2 was my personal favourite.

I think those are the top games of the gen, though it's amazing that the simple Mario games still is at the top.

Super Mario Galaxy was an OK game. It sheepishly incorporated its new mechanics, but Super Mario Galaxy 2 went ape shit crazy with them. It was like the developers were afraid to really get their hands creatively dirt in the first then just went as far as they possibly could go in the second.

IMHO, on the Wii alone, Donkey Kong Country Returns, The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword, Metroid Prime 3 Corruption, and Punch-Out!! were better games.

My personal top 3 of the generation would include

-Batman Arkham City

-Donkey Kong Country Returns

-The Super Street Fighter 4 series

Some odd games that I thought, if they deserved to be on the list, didn't deserve to be up so high. I'd have to really think about the order of it all, but my top games would have to include Red Dead Redemption, The Last of Us, Uncharted 2, Super Mario Galaxy 2, and Batman: Arkham City.

You realize the premise of "Game of the Generation" refers to console games only and only the three consoles right? PC wasn't in this discussion because it's organized by decades, not generations. Look at IGN's top games of the decade list, then look at this list. There's so many PC exclusives on that list. There isn't a single one here because they purposely excluded them because you know, it's not the point. When evaluating the Game of the Gen, you're only supposed to look at Xbox, PS3, and Wii. Good try though.
