Not if they have games you wish to play? I fell sorry for the poor people who can't get ahead to put down an extra $100 dolalrs on a console. If you have to wait a full year for a console to drop $100 bucks as if that amount of money is going to make or break you , then you are doing something wrong in life.

You are until yourt internet has problems and you find your self with a useless console,better yet when MS decide to kill the servers one day what will you do with all the so call games you own,since they need online they will not work any more,so in essence MS own your games and console you don't.

The way it is, they're both equal right now... move the pick and choose rumors aside, we have two new platforms, both with new franchises, new strengths and weaknesses and both with reasons to be excited depending on your gaming preferences....

Right now, I'm going to build a PC for next gen as it is easily the most consumer-centric gaming device available... If they both go anti consumer on used games I'll skip the consoles completely, sans the wiiu, if it has a compelling reason to own one.

If they both don't block used games with a fee, I will choose as I always do on who has the most compelling looking games.  

I am willing to stand on my principals and not accept anti consumer policies next gen... It'll give me a clear concience when I debate in system wars anyway... :P

As far as I'm concerned, If you support any of those consoles willingly, if they posess a Used Game DRM or something like it, you've pretty much lost your voice in complaining about companies like EA, Activision and shady practices in general... I won't be among them.

I can't believe people care about these consoles.

This is not a leap into the future, they're literally playing catch-up to PCs.  You want next-gen?  It's too late for that.  Modded PC games have been leagues ahead of the vanilla releases for years.  These systems are literally trying to catch up to the standard, and with their specifications locked by AMD the difference between them isn't going to be nearly as different as the warring fanboys and the stupid internet polls are trying to make them out to be.

Welcome to the current gen guys, your system can now play The Elder Scrolls VI.  It looks like a modded Elder Scrolls V.  Congratulations.

dont want to buy parts and dont want to learn how to install stuff phsyically in my computer. I want to buy a system play on it and not have to worry about upgrading a piece of something. Console are a easy way to do this. I know PC games look better but I dont wanna go through a headace of learning how to install drives and stuff.

WTF DRM was born on PC most consumer centric my ass,unless you are talk about facebook gaming,DRM is still alive and kicking on PC it started on PC and there is no standard or it,basically is up to each company to do what it serve them best on PC,either been key,online activation or just plain needing online to work like Diablo and Simcity.

As of now they are not the same is xbox fans boys who want to tag each and every bad thing that happen to the xbox one also for the PS4,the PS4 doesn't require online the xbox one does,because that is how they implement DRM.

I hope both the PS4 and XB1 controllers are both plug-and-play on PC, like the 360 controller was. I expect the XB1 controller to be, but the DS4 better not be as big a pain in the ass as the DS3princeofshapeir
