Im 25 and still have video game rage.. is that normal?

Im 25 years old and while i do game a lot i also have a life, a job and a wife. I have a good job, 401k, a savings, a wife and my own house so im not one of these people that play video games constantly.. But when i do Play i get very angry if things dont go my way.. I was playing NBA 2k10 earlier online, i started out the first quarter ahead by 10 points and i ended up losing and i got so mad during the game, yelling at the TV and screaming swear words as though i was the coach of the team or something lol. It also happens A LOT with Fight Night! I dont break my controllers like i use to because they are just too expensive now.. Does anyone else have video game rage?

Of course, just shows you have a strong desire to be successful in your endeavors.

BTW, sports games are pretty lamesauce, just youtube all the bugs and exploits.

Its ok since none of us are perfect. just remember to calm down when you about to burst.

I was about to say no untill i realized what games you were playing. NBA2k9 was absolute BS online. I once had the bulls shoot 17-19 from three with brad miller shooting 4-5. Same with fightnight, it feels too boring/random for me.

Of course, just shows you have a strong desire to be successful in your endeavors.

Wow, you're probably one of those guys that just puts there hand up to the eyetoy and gets a billion points. Sports games are great. Madden is awesome especially except for the qb walking and RC catching glitches that 09 had, but i haven't really run into them in 10.

I do it if a game makes me mad.

I'm older than you, a cardiologist and make almost a million bucks a year. I still play games... now that I can actually afford any game I want, it would suck not to be able to play them.

Wow, you're probably one of those guys that just puts there hand up to the eyetoy and gets a billion points. Sports games are great. Madden is awesome especially except for the qb walking and RC catching glitches that 09 had, but i haven't really run into them in 10.

10 is about abusing madden's blocking AI on defense with nanoblitz

offense is about abusing linebacker crap coverage to flats abusing CB's low tackling and then cuttin the middle when the guy adjusts everything out to the flats.

I accept nano blitzes because in the NFL plays like that happen every once and awhile. You must be playin people who are garbage at defense, most likely people who just play DT whole game, only use Cov 3, and try to hit stick you when they're like 10 yards away. its easy to stop a spam flat play if you just play as a LB and stop it.

Im 27 and i still have it, I mean i've at times gotten so angry i mean rage not rage of yelling but rage of shaking inabbility to play any more like i wanted to kill someone.
It mostly happens when its cheaters online or people using unfair tactics such as spawn killing.

I only rage while playing games online, and Ninja Gaiden= "QUIT ****ING GRABBING ME!!!"

Yea NBA 2k10 pisses me off so much! I was the CAVS and lebron just kept missing 3 pts while Anthony on the other team was scoring 3s like noones business! OH MAN I GOT SO MAD

dude do not by any means play ninja gaiden 2!!! thats gotta be the most infuriating game ever! i about chunked my controller at my 52"xbr6 playing it! since then i havent touched the game

Dude...Im going to be 38 next month and I still have rage in ways you can only imagine. Believe me. This is why I dont play online much anymore. Even when Im on top of the boards with 60kills and 10 deaths..Im still as pissed as you can get. Its hard on my heart, keeps me up at night..So I dont play very much online..

I think its normal to have rage at a videogame sometimes but just dont go overboard with it or do anything you may regret. Im 27 and sometimes I get so mad at a game that I want to hurl the controller. But I have a7 month old daughter now and I dont want her looking at me acting like that. So I just take my wife's advice and take a break from whatever particluar game is driving me crazy.

Nano blitz like plays happen once or twice a week and it usually happened because a lineman didn't know which guy was his. It is very rare to see LBs or DTs scream up the middle completely untouched.

if you wanna feel like ur totally awesome in a game do this: Play SF4, play on the hardest difficulty (its ezsauce dun worry) and face Seth and play the game like you normall would :) its awesome, and record this, then upload to utube :P :twisted:killa4lyfe

How does that work though? You said it yourself the Seth is easy to beat.

But I would disagree unlike everyone here. At that age, no you should be more mature. After playing months of SF4, I have completely grown out of that. You win you win, and if you lose and you tried your best, accept defeat and figure out what you did wrong so you'll do better next time.

It may get worse as you get older. I am 33 and still getting crazier. Gears 2.......don't even go there!

The Elite licence missions in particular are maddeningly frustrating.

I'm 33 and I still whip my controller across the room into the couch once in awhile, then walk away for 10 minutes or so and get a drink when I play real hard games.

Anger is natural, I still get occasionally angry at a game. I never seem to online though, I just enjoy the match.

I never get angry like that.... and I have been playing games for 25 years now.Dogswithguns
